Avoiding Commonly Hazardous Situations in the Community Hazardous situations can be described as conditions that pose significant threat to life, security, the environment, and health and can easily create and emergency situation. Hazardous situations have become prevalent in today's society or community because of increased exposure to potentially harmful situations when carrying out the activities of daily life. The most common hazardous situations in my community include people and things that are in the immediate surroundings. These hazardous situations in the community are prevalent at home, in school, and in the society. It is increasingly important for people to develop measures that help in avoiding commonly hazardous situations in the community because of the potential harm that the hazards can cause. Actually, the various kinds of hazards usually emerge from unsafe use or actions of equipments and objects.

One of the most important ways for avoiding commonly hazardous situations in my community is through arranging my life in a manner to avoid the various types of hazards. My personal plan for arranging my life to avoid situations that are regarded as commonly hazardous in the community will be based on three components i.e. awareness, avoidance, and prevention. These three components are crucial towards ensuring personal protection against hazards and mitigating the impact of hazardous situations in case the hazards occur. Increased awareness of situations regarded as commonly hazardous is crucial towards lessening the likelihood of suffering from any hazards in case they occur. I will create a habit of always being aware of my surroundings because being mindful and aware is always better and the first step towards prevention. In this case, I will usually be mindful of what's normal in my community and identify when someone or something is not in place. Moreover, I will also be mindful of safe practices when in situations that are commonly hazardous in my community. In essence, the awareness will not focus only on being mindful of what is normal in the surroundings but also being aware of safe practices.
Secondly, I will develop plans on what to do when in situations that are commonly hazardous in my community. My plan of action when in these situations will be based on awareness of these areas or situations and knowledge on safe practices. Through being mindful of the situations and safe practices, I will develop effective plans that help in handling the situations and preventing the likelihood of suffering from a hazard.
