¶ … Strategic Leadership Sphere of Influence

The intent for this effort, is for my leadership style to permeate throughout the entirety of the organization. Leadership styles may play a large role in the implementation of a business plan when that style is aligned with the strategic plans for that firm. Influence runs from the top down, and if leaders at the top are expecting for things to happen at the bottom of the pile, those leaders must demonstrate their own ability to perform in order to earn the respect that is needed to keep a new organization afloat amongst the many challenges that it should be expected to face. A strong impact may be felt if the sphere of influence is truly aligned with the objectives and principles of the entire organization.

Personal Biases

My own personal biases reflect an attitude that women and children are weaker than men in the business world. While this may be proven true in some cases, it is only an assumption and not a truth. To help eliminate this bias, it is important to firstly recognize it and then deal with it. This product that we promote also appears to treat children like animals and restricts their curiosity and freedom. There will be objections to this product because of our approach and its inclusion of tracking software. Some may also argue that this technology is not needed and children do not need mobile devices.
Leadership Styles

A leadership style that allows people to perform their best is one that is needed in this situation. Micromanaging people is not a style that I would like to adopt in this case. Servant leadership can be encouraged and incorporated by demonstrating self-sacrifice and dedication by myself and other leaders in the company. Working long hours and giving up some of my salary may also work in this case as well to effectively demonstrate servant leadership to the employees of this organization.
