Times are changing. Technological advancements are taking place at a breakneck speed. Some of the most recent advancements are the instant communication systems and the Internet revolution, which in every sense, has knocked down the barriers of language, time and distance. These groundbreaking technologies have also been bringing different states and nationalities together. However, within communities and countries it has been observed that people are becoming more and more isolated. The effectiveness of the human bond that used to be the hallmark of the pastoral societies is diminishing because of a fast-paced modern life. The signs of family and social estrangement are strikingly visible in the developed as well as the underdeveloped nations where working long hours have dictated shallower relations with other people.
There have been a plenty of factors that have cropped up the circumstances that has led to social isolation in the U.S. "Americans are far more socially isolated today than they were two decades ago, and a sharply growing number of people say they have no one in whom they can confide," says Shankar Vedantam. Nowadays people are finding it quiet difficult to make their ends meet. It might seem a pity that they have lost faith in their respective spouses. People nowadays are striving to carry out their professional and family responsibly between two or more jobs.
Some people are of the view that Americans have adopted a lifestyle that compels them to go out of their way to fulfill their self-imposed duties. This equips them financially and aids them to live up to the lifestyles of the society. Most people tend to use up their time by socializing with others. Most people have the habit of spending their good and bad times with their friends as most of them are of the view it is the friend who has been a great source of help to him when his life had been going through the rough times. Some people are interested in surfing the net and pouring out their guts to the strangers. Most of the people in this regard are the ones who have spent most of their life running after money. Looking minutely into the lives of the people it is quiet easy to access that the elder have overlooked the work of their ancestors.
And are trying to make their own hallmark in the life of today. Americans are quiet eager to leave up their children as soon as they grow up and therefore they inculcate a sense of insecurity and loneliness in their children from the onset when they are too young and are still looking for someone to nurture them.
