Peer Discussion

I agree with your assessment related to social responsibility and the well-being of others. Here social responsibility is become a much higher priority in society due to a number of environmental factors. For one, the need for sustainable solutions that can help protect the planet are critical for the prosperity of future generations. Corporations, particularly those who leverage the environment for profit should help to provide solutions that are socially responsible. This also applies to employees as well. As you noted in your post, corporations have a responsibility to provide a working environment that is conducive to productive behavior

Peer Discussion 2

This often came at the expense of other constituents including employees, communities, and in some cases the environment. However, initiatives such as the “Fight for $15,” “Occupy Wall Street,” and other environmental initiatives has highlighted the need for a more comprehensive approach to social responsibility. Here, this approach looks to help maximize “win-win” situations for those that are directly impacted by business operations. This ultimately helps to improve overall societal development.
