Abstract

This strategic management analysis examines organizational development through the lens of Macy's Inc., focusing on strategy selection processes and their implementation. The study evaluates the three-step strategic evaluation framework: examining strategy development causes, comparing expected versus actual results, and implementing corrective measures. The analysis demonstrates how competitive pressures from Amazon and Walmart drive strategic innovation in retail organizations, emphasizing the critical role of advertising, customer service, and leadership in achieving sustainable competitive advantage.

Companies are ever-changing, and they implement and formulate the best strategies to improve their business activities and register profits. The managers must put more effort into ensuring the strategies are working and the time changes. The reports for parts of the CLC assignment massively influenced me, II, and III. The process of strategic management makes decisions that have long-term and massive consequences. The findings could lead to several penalties, especially if the decision is irreversible (David et al., 2020). The process of strategic evaluation is based on their specific activities. The first is by examining the cause of developing the strategy and its impacts on an organization. The other is comparing the expected with the actual results. The last is employing corrective efforts to ensure that the performance is as per the organization\\\\\\\'s plan. For these strategies to work, the organization must provide the marketing department is focused on achieving the organizational goals (David et al., 2020). Advertising is considered crucial for a company since it helps in creating popularity.

According to the CLC chart analysis, Macy\\\\\\\'s Inc. operates several websites, stores, and mobile applications. It is considered an American department store. The company sells several merchandise and primarily sells kids, women, and men\\\\\\\'s accessories (Macy\\\\\\\'s Inc., 2020). The organization\\\\\\\'s goals are to create a better shopping experience, and its main competitors are Walmart and Amazon. The firm has a competitive advantage over the rest since it uses social media platforms and print and visual media to advertise its products (Appel et al., 2020). It also has an official website whereby it helps the company gain popularity. The analysis clearly shows the importance of advertising. Customers are considered among the most critical stakeholders in a company. If they do not purchase its products, it becomes hard for an organization to register profits (Macy\\\\\\\'s Inc., 2020). Advertising is often linked with customer acre services since there is an interaction between an organization and the customers. The company\\\\\\\'s customer care service should be top-notch. The company should constantly interact with the customers to know what they think about the benefits and whether they face any challenges. The recommendations they would give it for improvements in the services provided.

Nonetheless, the organizational chart analysis displayed the importance of competition in the corporate world. It makes the companies provide a better quality of goods characterized by more innovation. The innovation helps the company become better than the others. Nonetheless, competition also leads to greater productivity and efficiency since the organizations grow and develop economically. Macy\\\\\\\'s Inc. had to make better choices and provide more variety of options for customers to purchase the products (Macy\\\\\\\'s Inc., 2020). The strategies employed had to be better than those done by Walmart and Amazon. Leadership also proved to be crucial for an organization. The leaders must have the company\\\\\\\'s best interests at heart and ensure that all stakeholders are part of the decision-making process (Appel et al., 2020). They must also ensure that the communication in an organization is better and all the people involved know what is expected of them.
