Sustainment and Tactical 1/8 ABCT Operations The objective of this military operation is to use the decisive force to defeat the enemy on our northern flank in order to protect our division's main body. The intent of the operation is to dedicate our forces to seize the OBJ BRAVO, a city situated 80 kilometers west of BRIDGEPORT. The important decisive operation of our division is to liberate and protect the II Corps by seizing the OBJ BRAVO.

Analysis and Development of Doctrinal Solutions to OBJ Tactical Problems Mission Statement Our core mission is to use fire as well as using the maneuvering tactic to repel the attack and destroy the enemy's forces. We will also develop our force using a unified action plan. We will exercise the authority and direction for our unified land operation, and integrate all the military functions for our mission accomplishment.

Our effective approach is to use orderly, precise and efficient control to repel the enemy's attacks by using the close combat, counterattacks and open fire on them. We will use the military tactics to demoralize, confuse and exhaust the enemies. Our mission is to defeat the enemy situated on the northern flank to protect our division's main body. Additionally, the 1/8 ABCT will achieve the decisive operation by advancing our division to exercise our authority using a disciplined intent and initiative to conduct and implement a unified land operation.

Our core role is to close with the enemy by means of fire and maneuver to destroy or capture enemy forces, or to repel their attacks by fire, close combat, and counterattack." Our end state is to carry out the decisive action to achieve simultaneous, continuous offensive, and defensive tasks.

Identification of ABCT's primary Offensive or Defensive task Our task is to develop offensive position at the BRIDGEPORT over ROUTE ORANGE across the CENTER RIVER.

Our offensive action is to destroy and defeat the enemy force and take control of the OBJ BRAVO. We will also use the offensive action to deprive the enemies of their resources. Our strategy includes audacity, concentration, surprise, and tempo. We will use effective action to capitalize on timely and accurate intelligence as well as collecting other relevant information about the enemies.

We will defeat and destroy the enemy's forces to seize and secure the terrain by using a coordinated movement supported by using the decisive operations and fire to destroy the enemy's tactics and disposition[footnoteRef:4]. Moreover, we will use the offensive strategy to implement successive attack in order to disintegrate and disorganize the enemy's forces which will make them having no choice but to flee or surrender. We will use an offensive strategy to neutralize enemy forces and breach obstacles they might have used to debar our offensive attacks.

We will accomplish our objective through penetration offensive tactics to attack and destroy the enemy base. We will improve our mobility with the assistance of our engineer with the intent to suppress the enemy armor and their infantry forces. (Department of Army, 2013). We will maneuver our forces to reach advantageous position and implement protection tasks such as operations security, security operations as well as information protection to inhibit and prevent the enemies from acquiring necessary information about the friendly forces. Explication and Identification of the ABCT's Shaping Operation Our shaping operation involves using the hostile forces to destroy the enemies. We will use decisive operation on our enemy using demonstration, ambush, feint, counterattack, spoiling attack and raid. We will track our progress and help the subordinate penetrating the enemy forces, their security areas as well as their defensive positions.

We will use all our available resources to prevent the enemy changing position to gain time using military deception to disintegrate their defensive position. Task and Purpose of Cavalry Squadron The task of the cavalry squadron is to implement the combat forces, tactical senses and use a swift movement to attack and destroy enemies' line of communication. We will use the cavalry to maneuver our tactical senses and strategy to launch offensive attacks. Similarly, we will use our superior military power against the enemies.

c.EACH Combined Arms Battalion's located on the Sketch. The location of each arm battalion on the sketch is in the Eastern part of the 1/8 ABCT. The western part is the stationed of 1/8 ABCT battalion within 80 kilometers to the OBJ BRAVO. As being revealed in the sketch, the 1/8 ABCT battalion is at the southern part, a 20-kilometer to the Center river. Thus, the combined arm of our battalion is stationed at the western, eastern, and southern part in the sketch.

d.Task and Purpose of EACH of Combined Arms Battalion The purpose and task of 1/8 ABCT stationed in the eastern part are to launch a military assault at Bridgeport, which is one of the enemies' bases. The attack is to assist the friendly forces deploying assets as quickly as possible. The tasks of I/8 ABCT at western and southern parts are to launch an attack at OBJ BRAVO with the intent to seize the OBJE BRAVO. d.

Depict Fires Battalion's Location on the Sketch The fire battalion's location is based at 8ID 1/8 ABCT, which is at the Eastern part of the sketch. However, I/8 ABCT is stationed at the western part, which is approximately 80-kilometer to the OBJ Bravo. At around 20 kilometers to the Center river stationed the 1/8 ABCT battalion. f. Stating the Purpose and Task of the Fires Battalion. The purpose and task of the fires battalion are to assist in launching artillery and heavy fire at the enemies.

Moreover, the fire battalion is to destroy the enemy forces, directly and indirectly, using the fire system to assist us building a combat power. g. Depict Operation of armed reconnaissance Squadron and Combined Arms battalions' Boundary At the eastern part of I/8 ABCT are the boundaries of our combined arms battalion located at the 8 ID north road of the map. The boundary of the combined arms battalion is at the CFLCC 8ID, which is the northern part of the map.

However, the boundaries of our armed reconnaissance squadron are located at the western part of the sketch designed to deliver accurate and timely information for the reconnaissance companies. h. Depict the -- the Tactical Command Post Main Command Post The main command post location will be at the eastern part of I/8 ABCT. However, the tactical post ought to be at 1/8 ABCT, southern part of the sketch i.

Decision to Locate the both Tactical and Main Command Posts The command post is located in the eastern part and the main objective of its specific location is to assist in exercising effective command and control. The command post is also to assist our military personnel to collect critical information about the procedures, military equipment, and personnel. Typically, command post's location is ideal for our operation because the post is very close to the BRIDGEPORT, which is the enemy location.

Thus, the command location will assist us coordinating planning, controlling and directing in order to weaken and destroy the enemy's military capabilities. On the other hand, the tactical post is at the southern part since it is very close to the enemies' locations, the BRIDGEPORT, and OBJ BRAVO. Our goal is to use a complete mobility to close up with enemies. Section 3: Sustainment 7. "Vision for the BSB Logistical Support for ABCT Change of Mission" A logistical support assists in enhancing effective coordination, planning and directing.

We will achieve a change of mission using a minimum warning time. Our sustainment logistic will cover personnel and health support. A key strategy to achieve our mission is through planning, disbursing the ammunition, fuel, replacement, and water. Our ABCT's mission support is to make adequate stock of ammunition, transport equipment and health supplies available to assist us carrying out our operations. The engineers will be available to enhance a smooth maintenance operation of our equipment.

We will organize the ordnance companies, maintenance companies, and truck companies to enhance our organic support and constant medical supply. We will also organize the Service Company and regimental motor office to support our regiment. Each of our transportation platoons will be designated to support all our battalion, and medical detachment will be available for the healthcare of the regiment. However, the personnel and operating vehicles are very critical for the Service Company and medical detachment to carry out essential functions such as ammunition, maintenance, and detachment.
