Now I will be the first person on either side of my family to attend college, and in the land of opportunity that is the United States I know that college will be an amazing and very rewarding experience. One of the things that I think is most important, though, is not the college or even the country, but the spirit that my parents have instilled in me. My parents have influenced me so strongly that I know that I can realize my full potential and make them very proud. They have not only talked to me about what I should hold important, but they have also given me the freedom to make those kinds of decisions on my own.

I feel that my parents' influence and the examples that they set are things that I will always...

...

I won't forget what they have taught me because I see the value in what they have done and the dedication they have had to the tasks that they have been involved with. That is true of the work my father did on the pig farm and true of the work my mother did in the house and to raise me. She was so very brave to go through cancer and all of her other hardships, and yet she never acted depressed or as though she would give up. Instead, she was very interested in making her world and the world of those around her a better and brighter place. Both she and my father knew (and still know) that anything really is possible, and that anyone can be 'someone,' no matter where that person comes from. Because of them, I know that, as well, and it is an unforgettable lesson to me.

It was a great experience overall -- not only because it was so intellectually engaging but also because my confidence as a person and as a student was really boosted by being 'the best' at something that I hadn't even planned to do or had been trained for. It showed me that I really could do things that I was nervous about, and that I could contribute something valuable

Economics in China (Manufacture) There is a time and stage for all types of manufacturing and what may be seen to succeed in China is not likely to succeed in many other countries like the United States. According to Brech, these trends do not leave much time -- or money -- available for dining at full-service restaurants. In this study, the respondents "reported their families ate at cafeterias, family or chain restaurants, or fine dining restaurants only once or less each week" (Brech 1998: 21). This is not to say, though, that the number of full-service restaurants in countries such as the United States has declined
