Abstract

This essay is a continuation essay for a previous project. This part of the project is a SWOT analysis. The analysis is performed under the context of Global Jets corporation. This company manufactures F35 fighter jets and this report is a measurement of the feasibility of the business strategy laid out in previous project submissions.

Target Israel SWOT

Global Fighter Jets, as a producer of military equipment, benefits from the SWOT analysis of the countries it wishes to sell its product. Global's F35 is planned to be sold and manufactured within the nation of Israel. The unique factors regarding this particular selection need to be explored to truly gauge and understand the scope and magnitude of such a business venture. The purpose of this essay is to conduct a SWOT analysis on Israel regarding the F35 Global Fighter Jet product. This analysis will examine internal strengths and weakness of Global Fighter Jets by analyzing its business mode and how best it might serve the company's objectives. The external opportunities and threats that lie within this specific Israeli market will then be discussed. The paper will conclude with comments on how to best manage the risks of this expenditure and introduce a successful strategy to make Global Fighter Jets both profitable and effective in this new exploration of corporate growth.

Internal Strengths

Global is structurally desgined for outsource work. Global Fighter Jets brokers deals between nations that want to build its technology. This model allows for the company to easily assimilate itself within a country's culture. Global Fighter Jets strength is its ability to therefore service different nations without large scale political conflicts of interests. The nations themselves may be at tension with each other, however our neutral company remains above the fray making profits. Additionally, the history of Global Fighter Jets works as an internal strength due to the proven track record of providing technology that works quite well.. Our machines kill with efficiency and precision. Our jets are capable of carrying very devastating cargo that can eliminate populations in seconds, a technology that is heavily sought after.

Internal Weaknesses

The climate of warfare has changed over the last few decades and air to air combat is not as important as it used to be. Wars are generally mismatches that do not require air superiority combat. There is such a large gap of air superiority right now between Israel and its most immediate threats that there is no real tactical need for Global's new F35. This weakness demonstrates the over flooding of the market right now at least in terms of fighter jets.

External Opportunities

Israel is always either being militarily confronted or confronting another nation in a similar fashion. The country has a history of brutal war as opposed to peaceful settelments. This war faring attitude that permeates its government and leadership should never be underestimated in its desire for military supremacy. Recent tensions between Iran demonstrate the market's current capabilities. The F35 provides Israel with a new and powerful weapon that can further its air superiority even though it is rarely if ever challenged.

External Threats

Peaceful approaches to violent problems present our biggest external threat at Global Fighter Jets. Peace has threatened to break out in the middle east part of the world due to fatigue and common sense. Warfare, while profitable for our business model over the past century, is losing steam. The lack of willing participants is becoming more evident in today's world as many tune out the violent outbreaks leaving a threatening gap in our demand for weapons.
