Corporations that produce products for children are in a position of great trust. Parents cannot inspect the factories owned by every toy manufacturer, to ensure that the facilities are free from lead or other banned products. Creating a toy for a small child that can be toxic if it is chewed is like leaving a swimming pool open without a fence -- an attractive nuisance something that is inviting children to take a dangerous risk and is therefore illegal.

Discussion 2 different issue arises with toys with small parts that could be hazardous if handled by a very young child but not by an older child. Companies label their toys to indicate if the toy is suitable for young children, and if children under a certain age should not use the toy. Some toys can be dangerous for young children if they are used inappropriately. It is not reasonable to expect that corporations create toys that can be used by all children, regardless of age, thus parents must exercise some supervision when...

But what about fast food advertising? These products are harmful, as they are high in calories and free of nutrition. Just like lead can permanently harm a child's intellectual development, the obesity caused by junk food can harm a child's physical development. Should fast food advertising -- or fast food in schools -- be banned as well given they are victimizing consumers with few cognitive defenses? Or is diet solely the parent's responsibility, given that parents have a reasonable expectation that the food is unhealthy, just as they have a reasonable expectation that a Barbie doll will not contain toxic chemicals, even if chewed by a younger sibling?

Strategic Goals & Objectives During its existence over three quarters of a century, the SSA has survived, evolved and changed. However, the technological and fiscal challenges of today and the near future require that the Social Security Administration bend and shape itself even more. Those challenges include some budget situations that are fairly bleak, a large amount of fraud and abuse of the program and the technological changes required as mentioned

Technology and national security / privacy issues / Edward snowden The massive 9/11 attacks revealed some obvious flaws in our security system. Terrorists not only managed to slip through the immigration and airports but also managed to live, train and plan within the United States for many years. The resulting fear of other terrorist groups who might have been living and training in U.S. were justifiable. In this regard, congress came

Buying the Perfect Solution: Every vendor offers unique products or services that will meet your needs.  Describe how you differentiate between them? Selecting a vendor is in many ways like selecting a new car or any other appliance designed to meet the specific needs of a particular individual. Taking the product for a test drive is one of the most useful ways to determine if it will be genuinely helpful. This

Republicans construed Obama as suggesting government bailouts for new industries, or at the slightest a more lively federal government function in generating or supporting jobs -- concepts abominations to a lot of conservatives. The Obama campaign countered the idea as political spin that does not replicate the president's feeling or meaning, pointing to full circumstances of the quotation as confirmation (Koch, 2011). Discuss the process of how a Bill becomes a

Technology and America's Global Power: America is considered as the cradle of contemporary anti-imperialism and the pioneer of a mighty empire across the globe. The country's global position in the 21st Century is defined by tensions in its policies and public discourse (Hay, 2004). Consequently, the role of the United States as a sponsor of worldwide stability continues to raise concerns on whether an empire can function effectively on the basis

A micro considers the interests and rights of the individual company as the primary concern. Both of these views are valid depending on the lens that one wishes to use. The problem arises when the government is forced to develop policies regarding procurement in this volatile debate. The government must decide whether to take a micro view, favoring the rights of companies, or a macro view that places the
