Public Safety Networks supported by information and communication technology infrastructure, are products of one or more characteristics of their member agencies, which aggregate to complicated network behavior thereby reducing public safety events. PSNs operate as CAS because they are made up of multiple agencies, acting on condition and in parallel with member agencies leading to continuous adaptation and evolution. PSNs are organized to tackle Public safety exercises, such as anti-terrorism, fire prevention, law enforcement, and medical emergency that are deemed as wicked problems. A broad range of cross-agency intergovernmental collaborative initiatives employing inter-organizational systems encounter challenges associated with cost inefficiencies, performance as well as social fabrics in PSNs. This study is meant to offer considerations for Public Safety Network managers. It applies CAS systems theory to explain the changes...

This analysis is a descriptive case study of two Public Safety Networks;
1. Capital Wireless Integrated Network (CapWIN). This initiative is a partnership incorporating Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC and the United State of America Federal government. This partnership was purposed to integrate transportation and criminal justice wireless communication network. It has registered and trained 41 agencies and 947 users. It has also posted over 24,000 event queries.

2. Clermont County Division of Public Safety Services (DPSS). This network was established to support the communication needs of Clermont…

Theory Critique of Jean Watson Introduction and Historical Context Jean Watson developed the theory of transpersonal caring or the theory of human caring in the year 1979. The theory points at the humanistic characteristics of nursing in relation to the scientific knowledge in the world. Watson developed this theory with the aim of communicating meaning, and making nursing a unique health profession. We consider caring as the core responsibility to nursing; therefore,

I would agree with this statement, since theory and practice, when applied to each other appropriately, inform each other and cannot in fact be separated into two distinct entities. It is vitally important to use theory for informing practice, while practice would further inform theory, making the statement that a good theory is, in fact, practically true. 5. Benedict Spinoza, a post-Cartesian philosopher in the 17th century, held ideas of which many

Theory Development Nature and Use of Theory in Academic Research Corley and Gioia (2001) call theory the, "currency of our scholarly realm" (p. 12). The authors further explain that theoretical contribution is a requirement for a manuscript to be considered for publication. It appears that all scholarly writing hinges on the theoretical worthiness of the material. Corley and Gioia defined theory as a statement of concepts and their interrelationships that together, demonstrate

Theory vs. Ideology What is ideology? Ideology is a belief system that supports and promotes personal or a group's social or religious agenda. In some cases its nature will be obvious to most people, but in other cases an ideology will be disguised as scientific fact based on nonexistent or reinterpreted empirical evidence. Ideologies are invariably supported by personally- or collectively-held religious or political beliefs, rather than extant empirical evidence or objective

This type of research suggests that there is a correlation between general intelligence (g) and physiological factors such as development stability and general physical fitness. One might develop the research question further by investigating whether intelligence can be manipulated by means of increasing actual physical fitness levels by means of exercise, for example. Since it has long been an accepted fact that the body and mind function as a mutually
