Existence of God

God's existence is not provable, but one can just believe in it.

Believe of God's existence depends on understanding and source of information that individual has on this subject.

Believing and having faith in God can help people understand His existence as no one can prove it.

Faith is what it calls to believe and thus if one has faith in God's existence, then not need to prove it.

There are some proofs on God's existence.

External happenings can proof God's existence.

Human believe of how and why things happen proofs God's existence.

Faith dictates believe on the understanding of whether God exists or not, and whether one can prove this or not.

The Existence of God

Introduction

According to the Christian and Jewish religions, the existence of God is understood/believed to be a reality and there is no compromise about that. However, I tend to think that the reality of judgments that believers make about God's existence considerably vary and divide in to different classes and all depends on the understanding of an individual depending on the source of the information he/she has about the existence of God. The nature of human beings enables us to have the capacity to reason and make decisions on our own. Although this line of thinking can have influence from outside sources, the realities become evident through our senses, which are obvious. Others happen to be logically proven while others come out as amazing events. This is in a personal view the understanding and thinking I have about the existence of God. I also do not have any compromise to other religions, other than Jewish and I have no reservations whatsoever of the subject when I argue about the subject, as some of the arguments might be right and others wrong depending on the individual understanding about existence of God. A similar perspective is held by Remus as he argues in the article "Can the Existence of God be Proven?" that the authenticity of what people argue about existence of God will be right on a personal perspective, or even in reality, but dictated by the understanding of the subject by the audience. In addition, I tend to think that the reasons that many people bring forth as basic for failing to believe in the Divine one (God) are that there does not exists any proven observations, experiences or experiments that God exists. This can result from the belief that people have, as influenced by their understanding about God's existence. It is possible that people with a broad perspective on this subject as the book Oracle of Reason claims, can perhaps have a realistic understanding about God's existence (373). The believers and non-believers of a religion certainly have different position on this matter, regardless of whether true or not. For example, some Christians, can believe that God does not exists while on others they believe. To many others, it can be in intermediate positions when confronted with conflicting opinions or actions existing and the basic principles, however, some can have a probabilistic or compelling thinking about god's existence (Revelife, "The Existence of God Cannot Be Proven"). With these wide observations about the existence of God, I am tempted to wonder truly in what class does God's existence classify and thus it all comes down to that it is difficult to prove the existence of God. Thus, God's existence is not provable, but one can just believe in it.

Human beings can only believe in God's existence but cannot prove it

Arguing for this statement, both the probabilistic and logical arguments can bring a compromising situation on these conflicting issues. First, it is hard for logic to demonstrate the truth of by evidence or argument that God exists. All the same, the general question that bothers me and I like to ask my fellow believers is that about how a believer trusts and understands the existence of God. This is an inquiry that can have answers at both extremes, that is simple and complex answers as I have witnessed. Looking at the simplest approach, faith is the fundamental aspect that will constitute to accepting as true something that is invisible or something that is hard to prove its existence. This is to say that, the faith that a person has on something, in this perspective, God's existence, will have basis on the fact that there is no evidence of God's existence, if not so, then the faith factor here becomes meaningless. Therefore, arguing in this direction, I can deduce that the people who have belief in God's existence, are accepting that whatever others (sources of information) are saying about God's existence is true or in other words, whatever their instincts are telling them is that truly a Divine Being exists. This belief cuts across different religions that include the Judaism, Christianity, Islamic and even non-believers who know that God exists but the lack the belief that this invisible Being truly exists.

Contrary to the simple approach, this argument can prove a complex matter like for example when some argue that one is able to prove that God exists. The reason for this is simply God exists and this is a requirement for their firm opinion and acceptance of their religion, but it is only through believing in the invisible or in faith that they can ascertain truly there is God. I agree with this sediment but however, in others like the Muslim and Christian communities have the faith that there exists one God where in particular for Christians, there exist three Gods in one that is God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (the Holy Trinity). I also do not have questions on this but am worried about those who cannot figure out that one God can be three at the same time. To them, it is a confusing situation because their understanding is simply that these are three gods, not one as Trigilio and Brighenti ascertains in their claims and thus such situations call for believe and faith as this is what keeps believers going strong in their religion (4).

If someone is able to deduce that God exists, then it can only be possible to this person only through reasoning thus, in faith. For example, the early Romans and Greeks utilized their understanding to logically think and prove God's existence even before Jesus Christ was born. In addition to this, Saint Aquinas who existed in 1200s also used this same approach to bring to light that really God exists irrespective of the faith principals of an individual. These activities ascertain that faith is a crucial factor in believing that God exists. As Aquinas claimed, reason was his main principal that he used to make other people believe that God's existence is provable. This would be the initial stages but later, the person who gets involved in this, then has to have faith to believe in the Holy trinity (Trigilio, and Brighenti 4). It is hard for a one-time understanding of religion as it can be complex subject and this makes me understand better that knowing God is a learning process and I really like his sediments talking about God's existence.

According to Saint Aquinas, five methods could apply to enable any person to understand possibly the existence of God. First, it is through motion, a psychological approach where a potential effect of an individual or item becomes reality (Knight, "Whether God exists"). This is different from the obvious understanding of change of positions. For example, Pieta's sacred writings by Michelangelo did not become a reality up to the time when curving commenced, then the finished artistic work remained potential but later become an actual thing with the help of Michelangelo who moved it from its potential to actual status, otherwise without his influence, the carving would remain a just potential sculpture (Trigilio, and Brighenti 4). The understanding of this is through the sense that if anything has a start, then it must have potential in itself. In this point-of-view, I can truly, in a personal opinion acknowledge that anything potential is thus not the highest in authority, but anything that exists in fact or in reality, it is of the highest authority ranking. Looking on the view that God has a start; it shows then that there was sometimes when God never existed. After critically examining this statement, it brings out the question about the bringing of the potential status of God to Him being real. It can be confusing but all the same, Aquinas enables people to understand that the reason of something makes us understand that it existed and anything that exists has association with the existence of God and thus God exists (Brentano, and Kratntz 331).

Secondly, Aquinas considered causality of a happening. For instance, whenever a person kills another he/she has destroyed life and cannot create it. From this, it is indicative that people can cause other's death. Thus, causality in this sense is a binding science of reasoning and is a considerate understanding of human beings. If something happens, then it is a belief that somebody caused that thing to happen the way it did, and it is an effect of some kind of action. If then several actions take place one after the other, then the earlier/older happening caused the later event thus, "the first cause is the cause of all things and itself had no cause since it always existed." (Trigilio, and Brighenti 5). This is true as through the Holy Scriptures, an ordinary person cannot create life, but a Supreme Being is able, and through belief, I know this is God and He exists.

Thirdly, necessity is another factor that according to Aquinas as illustrated in Trigilio, and Brighenti, that reality is the divine fact and anything else's failure to exist has nothing to do with the existing of reality (5). Thus, the source of the causes is the purpose cause that makes other things to exist and that all other happenings are dependent to this Being. From here, it is evident that something makes others to exist, but it is the understanding that brings the faith to believe in the cause of things, that is not provable. I tend to think that a normal human being can die, and his associates will forget his existence after sometime, generations will come and go, but there is one that never dies, and ever exists, God, whom irrespective of what happens, He still exists and is what believers belief through faith.

Finally, gradation illustrates how authority ranking exists in the world. For example, looking at the food chain, animals that depend on plant life for their existence are higher in the chain and these animals experience instinct. In addition, human beings can feed on animals and thus, be higher in the food chain. The fact that both, animals and human beings use instinct does not mean they are equal. Animals use instinct to act where else human beings have the option to choose and reason before acting. Above the human beings are the angels, who are spiritual and death cannot make them not to exist as they do not possess any physical bodies but God created them, to be have greater ability than humans and thus God is Supreme and governs everything else below Him.

This governance brings the understanding that there exists a certain way how things happen/take place in reality. The laws of nature dictate how things happen and scientists did not invent them, rather they found out that they existed. Therefore, their existence manifests that God exists. From here, it is deducible that there has to be a Supreme Being that created these universal laws to maintain order over the world, and this is God, whom we should not bother to prove His existence, and truly exists (Trigilio, and Brighenti 7). I really agree with these two guys because, why then bother when God takes care of all others happenings that are beyond our control, and we live our lives the best we can? This is definitely through believing and faith that makes believers understand God controls the extraordinary happening, taking care of humanity in one way or another, that at many times, some will forget and occasionally acclaim something like "had it not for God, things could have been worse."

From the above discussion, God's existence is acknowledgeable from causes and these reasons or motives associate with beliefs that make humans believe the existence of a Supreme Being that make things happen the way they do. What exactly causes them to happen the way they do is beyond the human justification, and thus it is only through faith that human beings believe God's exists. In addition, depending on the religion, whether Judaism, Christianity, Islamic or non-believers, I acknowledge that it all comes down to faith and believing as the Reasoner argues that a person can know God exists and no need to prove it (151).

Still on a personal perspective, there are contradictions that come out as the need to define the existence of God. With many theories put forward to explain this, different circumstances can act as the reasons why things happen the way they do and thus the existence of God will then become useless. As Richard Dawkins argues in Revelife's "The Existence of God Cannot Be Proven, but Neither Can Atheism," whatever sciences explain is not provable as it tries to explain the physical existence of things and does not mean that is the end of reasoning, as there are non-physical things that exist and science can ascertain to claim their existence. I certainly understand that science has limits and proves material existing things, but because God is not a physical being, science cannot prove it and thus at this point becomes meaningless. For example, Plant or animal life is destroyable and no one can create it, except the Supreme Being, God, who is the cause of causes. This then brings again the aspect of faith that people believe God creates life through mothers who conceive and give birth. If something unexplainable physically or otherwise, cannot be proved, it does not mean that, such thing does not exist. It is thus logical for me to argue that a person can believe that God exists, but still can fail to disapprove the same statement. This tricky situation then call for faith, to believe that God exists, period, anything else is beyond human reasoning (Revelife, "The Existence of God Cannot Be Proven").

From this argument, I can deduce that there are chances that God exists, but it is hard to prove them, irrespective of whatever religion one believes in, and if someone believes He exists, then He does and if not, He is never there. In addition, existence of God is a subject that science cannot proof but will depend on the definition of "God" by people who believe in Him (Cline, "Myth: Atheists Rely Too Much on Science; God Can't Be Proven Scientifically").

There exist some proofs of God's existence

Having discussed about that God's existence as not provable, but only through believing that one can perceive His existence, it time to look at my arguments that God's existence is provable. From a natural perspective, perception of God's existence is easy because God remains a Sacred Spirit that manifests its power and ability in material things. Through what happens on daily basis, generations after generations, are possible proofs of God's existence. However, God's existence is not that obviously seen or in accordance with reality. This statement can then be hard to either deny or accept as these understandings come naturally in the being of human existence. Can someone see what I see? Nevertheless, this statement can be untrue in reasoning because it appears on written materials, but this also depends on the acceptation of that there exists an opposite of the truth. Thus, denying psychologically that God exists by a particular individual, I know is not obvious to him/her. Therefore, the existence of God can be self-evident to us or it can fail, but all will depend on how we understanding and view this statement (Remus, "Can the Existence of God be Proven?").

Looking at God as endless Supreme Being that is faultless and human's understanding of limits and incompleteness, the fundamental nature about God remains a mystery to humans, and therefore according to reality that existences is part of the fundamental nature of God is neither known, then, it remains not known as long as no prove exists. Then, God's existence as an obvious aspect of itself, and not to humans but it is for humans to prove it (Remus, "Can the Existence of God be Proven?"). This is a bit perplexing. However, as seen earlier, faith only can help understand the reality about the existence of God and it is through nature that there is proof He exists. However, I used to question myself why believers believe God exists without need to bother proving their reasons but I later I came to know, it is the tradition of the religion, which is bound by the existing laws, structured long before my existence, and if they have worked for all that period, then they are right, and whom should I be to question that. In addition, the reasons are none deciding factors in this subject but through the Holy Scriptures, if one has faith, then this person believes in God's existence, and thus God exists.

Considering what happens in the universe, then there are events and acts that one is able to believe that proofs exist to ascertain God's existence, despite not being in a position to perceive the meaning about the subject. The proofs on God's existence can take broad categories. One is that aligns to the outside world and the other is those that have human basics. Looking at the external world, there is a particular order in which things take place or happen, without our control and for real, nothing can make itself happen without a certain influence from somewhere, and that existence of something has an outside influence for it to exist. This is a general perspective for anyone with a sound mind. However, the manner in which things happen do not take place without limits, and thus, there is a Supreme Being, that itself existed from nothing else, and is the cause of all happenings. It is also the necessary drive of all existences in the world. This drive is God, a Being that self-exists from an outside world, as Russel claims, God has no limits in time and space, and manifests in a uniquely structured ways in nature (420).
