This paper compares the news delivered by different news channel websites regarding an important incident of this year "Killing of Osama Bin Laden" which took place on 1st May 2011 in Pakistan. Following paragraphs will compare how different news channel websites portrayed this story:

CNN World

CNN declared Osama's killing news by calling Osama the "most prominent face of terror in America" was killed as said by the U.S. officials and they confirm to have his dead body.

The later part of the new article explains bin Laden's story; from his birth in Saudi Arabia to his leading of Al-Qaeda, which is a terrorist network behind the September 11, 2001 attacks. The news also states the destruction that was caused by the four hijacked planes and the number of people died.

This online news does not provide any details regarding what actually happened and how Osama was killed. The readers will be more interested in finding out how was he killed instead of knowing his life story.

Arab News breaks this news by giving it a title of "Bin Laden's luck finally runs out" as this time his luck didn't work. The later part of the news is also attention catching as it explains the story in detail stating how was the operation conducted, who else was killed, why was Osama buried in sea and how DNA test and other proves confirm that he was really Osama. The last part of the news explains briefly how Osama's planning harmed U.S. A decade back and also states that security has been tighten in U.S. In order to face any consequences or reaction of this incident.

Dawn News, which is an accepted and trusted news paper of Pakistan, confirms this news by giving it a title of "Osama bin Laden killed in Pakistan, says Obama" and quoting his words "Justice has been done." The strange part of this online news is that this incident took place in Pakistan but the news quotes what Osama said. However, the later paragraphs state that his death was also confirmed by the Pakistani officials.

This news article also raises a question, if this is really an end of war of terror? Which is something other news websites did not raise and they only considered Osama's death as a victory. Another issue highlighted in this article is the relation between U.S. And Pakistan and the consequences of this act as U.S. also confirmed that they did not inform about this operation to the Pakistani Officials.

This was an interesting and attention gaining article written by dawn news which touched so many things including; important information, confirmations, role of Pakistan, celebrations in U.S., positive aspect for Obama to boost and the sudden changes in the fuel and dollar rates.

Aljazeera TV news channel having its headquarters in Middle East posted Osama's news on its website with a simple title of "Osama bin Laden killed in Pakistan." The first few paragraphs explain what Obama said in his speech at White House, while confirming Osama's death and also considered it as a significant achievement against Al-Qaeda. The article also stated that Al-Qaeda promised to take revenge after few hours of this incident. Furthermore, Pakistani government also received threats from Pakistani Taliban because of their role of helping U.S. To conduct this raid.

The article briefly explains how U.S. officials reached to Osama and also highlights the protests that were done by some religious parties of Pakistan. In addition, it covers each aspect of this incident briefly, starting from reaction in Pakistan to celebrations in U.S. And also quotes views of some analyst who considered end of Osama as not the end of the terrorism but end of the chapter.

The New York Times also entitled this news as "Bin Laden Is Dead, Osama Says." The news starts with few poetic words calling Osama as mastermind of the attacks on American soil who has been now killed and buried at sea, as confirmed by President Obama.

Few sentences from speech of Present Obama are also quoted in which he said that it was not the end of the effort because Al-Qaeda can still attack U.S. so it's better to be alert in home as well as abroad.
