1. Determine which of the statements you agree should be used to define Health Policy in the United States?

The health policy in the United States of America should be described by the statement that ‘health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity (Obama, 2016). It shows that health is the total social, psychological and physical wellbeing. A person is considered healthy when he is socially, mentally, and physically well. When people are free of diseases, they become mentally stable, and the people must stay social to ensure that people are in good health. Life without good health is similar to an army without soldiers, which means health is essential in people’s lives (Obama, 2016). When people lead a healthy lifestyle, the body stays healthy, and the mind is fresh and active. A healthy life is related to the extension of longevity, and it regenerates the mind and body.

Moreover, health is also considered “ an informed opinion, and active cooperation on the part of the public are key instruments in improving people’s health.” This statement should be used to describe the health policy in America (Birk, 2016). Health ensures that the body expectance of health and other institutions. Health provides that the body experiences metabolic and functional efficiency to adapt to mental and physical changes that the body is exposed to. Cooperation means that people accomplish social tasks easily. Practitioners often come together to save someone’s life, which means they actively cooperate. The main aim of the cooperation is to improve one’s health and achieve their role. The healthcare policies in America, such as Medicare and Medicaid, make it easy to access healthcare, and good health help people perform their daily routine smoothly (Obama, 2016).

Several statements would be excluded from the policy. The first is that the health of all people is fundamental in attaining security and peace, and it depends on the fullest cooperation of the states and individuals. Peace and security are vital for people’s health. However, the cooperation of different states and individuals has facilitated people’s health. Nevertheless, this statement can be excluded from the policy since it means that if there is no cooperation from states and individuals, then it means that people will not acquire healthcare services (McLaughlin & McLaughlin, 2009). People have a right to access excellent healthcare services. Governments should ensure that all people have been given access to healthcare services with or without cooperation. They all gain it equally despite the differences they face, such as backgrounds or even nationalities they have.
