Why do I need eternal life?
The Book of Romans states that humans are nothing more than sinners. This is important, because it is laying foundation as to how humans were able to engage in acts of perversion that were in direct defiance of God's will. As a result, God will punish all of those who are engaging in such activities. An example of this can be seen in a passage from Romans 1:21 -- where the Bible says, "For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened." ("Romans 1:21," n.d.) This is significant, because it shows how in order to avoid this obvious damnation to hell; everyone must be pure at heart from the corruption of the outside world. In order to be free of this requires: that everyone bring the God into their heart by accepting that Jesus Christ is their savior. This will provide a place in paradise next to God, as these sins from daily life can be forgiven.
How do I receive eternal life?
Like what was stated in the previous question, in order to receive eternal life requires that you must accept God and Jesus Christ into your heart. This means believing that God exists and that Christ died on the Cross for all of humankinds sins. This can be found in the Book of Romans where it says, "I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith." ("Romans 1:16 -- 17," n.d.) What this means is that regardless of what society or others are saying, if you accept God into your heart you will be able to spend all eternity in paradise.
What are the benefits of receiving eternal life?
The benefits of receiving an eternal life are: that you will be able to have a place always at the side of God in Heaven. An example of this can be seen in Romans 11:33 -- 36 where it says, "Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor? Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him? For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen." This is significant, because it shows that by accepting God into your heart you can be able to spend all of eternity in paradise. Regardless of what your occupation or social status would have been when you were living on Earth.
