Analytics adoption among supply chain professionals in Lean Six Sigma
¶ … Value of Analytics in Lean Six Sigma Supply Operations & Logistics
You mentioned you expect to have 25 respondents of your survey. What if not all respond?
If the first series of trade organizations contacted doesn't yield 25 respondents, additional trade organizations will be contacted. In addition, there are 5,661 LinkedIn groups that are dedicated to supply chain professionals. Creating and launching an online survey using SurveyMonkey is relative inexpensive. Once the link to the survey is created, it will be posted to specific LinkedIn groups, after permission has been obtained from group moderators. Using a combination of these approaches will deliver 25 respondents.
How will you determine if the sample size was large enough?
The methodology for this study is based on non-probability sampling, with the recruitment of respondents based on their role in shaping supply chain strategies in their firms. The requirements of being a director or VP-level supply chain professional with responsibility for North American or global supply chain operations also a prerequisite. This will be easily achieved in trade organizations as there are directories of members often published and those with senior management roles can be asked to participate first,. The intent of using a non-probability sampling technique is to first focus on the most influential supply chain professionals available in trade organizations first. The logic of doing this is predicated on their opinions having a disproportionately larger influence on the future of supply chain analytics.
How will you check for response bias?
