Personal Statement

As I reflect on my personal journey and aspirations, I am confident that my calling is to become a Registered Nurse. Nursing is more than just a job or a career; it is a noble profession that requires selflessness, compassion, and dedication. I am inspired by the idea of being able to provide holistic care to patients, and to make a positive impact in their lives during their time of need.

To meet the challenges of a nursing program, I have taken various steps to prepare myself. I have taken science and math courses in high school and college to build a solid foundation in the fundamental principles of healthcare. In addition, I have volunteered at local hospitals, where I have gained hands-on experience and an understanding of the demands and rewards of nursing. I have also cultivated strong time-management, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills, which I believe are essential for success in a nursing program.

After completing my nursing education, I am committed to making significant contributions to the field of healthcare. I believe that nursing is an ever-evolving field, and I am excited to be part of this progress. I aspire to work in a hospital, where I can collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide evidence-based care and make a difference in patients' lives. I hope to be a positive role model for my colleagues and to inspire others to be passionate about nursing.

I have always been drawn to healthcare, and I have pursued various experiences to support my passion. As a volunteer at a local hospice, I have learned to empathize with patients and their families during their most difficult times. In college I want to work as a research assistant in a healthcare lab, so that I can gain an appreciation for the importance of evidence-based practice in healthcare. I have also been actively involved in community service and have learned the value of being a global citizen.
