" The message is positive and upbeat, it has simple principles, and shows people how to change their outlook and so change their lives. It is a special book with special lessons, and I hope I can put it to good use in my own life. If anything, I wished that it were longer, because the message was so positive and inspirational. For example, he writes, "Every age, every generation, is confronted by new realities, new tragedies, new difficulties, but also new truths" (Vanier, 2003, p. 122). It gives me hope for the future, and that is one reason I find this book so comforting on so many levels.
In conclusion, I think Vanier wrote a very powerful book that could uplift just about anyone. He leads a positive and motivational life, he shares that life with others in order to transform their lives, and I think that he is a hero to many that he has helped throughout the years. I will recommend this book to others, I will read it again, and after completing this assignment, it has probably been one of the most meaningful assignments I have completed in my education so far.
