Vocational Rehabilitation

The Effect of Uncertified Counselor on the Disabled Client

The initial thesis in this work was focused toward the negative effects potentially caused by Vocational Rehabilitation workers who had not received the education and training that is considered to be required for this type of employment. In the beginning of research and examination of the subject this writer believed that lack of education and training in this specialized field should bar the individual from employment in this field. However, after having studied this subject it is the contention of this writer that while it is very important and indeed vital that the Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor receive proper education and training, that it is indeed much more important that the individual possess the positive attitude necessary in empowering the disabled client as well as dedication in assisting the client toward a success focused outcome and lastly that the individual has the potential to apply innovation in daily tasks to do whatever it takes to achieve the outcome desired for the disabled client.
