Senator John McCain should be the next president of the United States. His commitment and dedication to improving the lives of Americans are proved by the fact that the people of Arizona continued to reelect John McCain as their representative in the Senate, his last mandate as an Arizona senator ending in 2011. At the 2004 elections, Senator McCain was overwhelmingly reelected with 77% of the vote.

Not only has John McCain proved his commitment to the citizens that he represents, but he has also proved during his heroic lifetime that he is a man of great character that would lead our country for the benefit of Americans. Senator McCain has proved during his career that he is a born leader and he has the experience of commitment to service necessary for being the President of the United States.

John McCain is dedicated to protecting the values of duty, honor and service of country as these values are the ones most cherished in his family, growing up as the son and grandson of distinguished Navy admirals. Following the tradition in his family, John McCain attended college at the United States Naval Academy and after graduation he began a 22-year career as a naval aviator.

John McCain served his country heroically during the Vietnam War as he truly believed that it is his duty to defend his country and fight any war for it. John McCain is a true patriot and he had proved this several times. Considering the events that McCain went through during the Vietnam War, one can easily draw the conclusion that he is a true hero, a man that was always dedicated to serving his country, a brave man that did not give up on his duties even in the worst times. John McCain served his country so proudly, even becoming a war prisoner, proving that he has a strong character and determination in conducting his duties. The proof of Senator McCain's heroic military career stands in the distinctions he was awarded, including the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Legion of Merit, Purple Heart, and the Distinguished Flying Cross. These distinguishes stand as proof of John McCain's bravery and commitment to serving his country, commitment that he later showed in his political career. John McCain retired from the military in 1981 and soon after began his political career during which he showed the same dedication to serving his country. As a president, John McCain will perform his duty with the same strength and determination he performed his military duties.

Senator McCain has distinguished himself throughout his political career as a conservative member of the Republican Party and continuously showed his support for a strong national defense, economic growth and traditional values. He is a proud follower of other Republican figures such as Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. However, not only those that support the Republican Party and conservative values should vote for Senator McCain for president. He has shown during his campaign that he is committed to solving the problems of every American and that he is committed to improving the average American's life. His electoral platform addresses the most controversial issues of American society.

Senator McCain is a strong supporter of President George W. Bush's anti-terrorist campaign, so if you are a supporter of the war against terrorism, there is another reason to vote for Senator McCain. After September 11, John McCain has condemned in all of his speeches the attacks, arguing that our nation should defend and fight back. As a traditional republican and a retired military, McCain supports the plan of a good defense for our country and the events of 9/11 showed that we need a better plan in order to provide greater security. McCain identifies that Islamic extremists represent a real and dangerous threat to our nation and that ignoring them and not responding to their aggressive actions would be a mistake that we would all pay for. As a former member of the U.S. Navy and as a war hero, Senator McCain represents the best alternative for the presidential elections as he has the experience and determination to lead us through success in the war against terrorism.

John McCain repeatedly showed his commitment to continue the war against terrorism started by George W. Bush, arguing that a retreat of our troops from Iraq and Afghanistan at this point is simply unacceptable, arguing that America can not afford to lose control of that area and leave it under terrorist control. Senator McCain did not back out of the war in Vietnam and he most definitely does not support a shameful retreat of our troops in Iraq. As pointed out in his election speeches, this election is about who is best for leading our nation to victory in the war against terrorism and the choice that Americans will make on the voting day is crucial for the outcome of the war against terrorism. If you are a supporter of our nation's best interest, if you believe that our country should not leave terrorists unpunished for their cruel attacks against our nation, vote for John McCain for president!

Since his election in the House of Representative, John McCain has been the advocate of reducing governmental spending and making the U.S. government more functional and more dedicated to serving the American citizens. A republican president would be able to have control over the spending of the democratic Congress and so there would be a balance that would block unjustified spending. If republicans do not win the presidential elections, the democrats would become uncontrollable and so would the governmental spending. Greater governmental spending means greater taxes that Americans will be forced to pay. Another economic issue that Senator McCain addresses in his bid for presidency is that Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid must be modernized. Overall, our economic system must be improved and this can be achieved by cutting governmental expenses, keeping the taxes low and providing a better professional and educational training to our youth.

One of the issues that John McCain has constantly fought against is that governmental decisions are dictated by corporate interest. This can no longer be possible and he is dedicated to gaining the trust of the citizens and working for their advantage by eliminating the influence of corporations. It takes a courageous leader to do such a thing and John McCain has proved that he has a strong character.

The solutions that John McCain proposes for the most controversial issues of our society represent the chance for a better American society. First of all, our nation must win the war against terrorism as security is the basic requirement of a developed society. A retreat from Iraq at this point would mean throwing the region into instability and creating the proper environment for the expanding of terrorist groups. From that point on, there would be only a question of time until America is attacked again. Considering that John McCain has the experience and the power of leadership necessary to conduct our country to victory, he would be the best candidate for presidency.

Another issue that is addressed by McCain's plan of reforming the American society is that of reforming the health care system. "The road to reform does not lead through Washington and a hugely expensive, bureaucratic, government-controlled system. John McCain will harness competition to offer more affordable insurance options for as many Americans as possible, leveraging the innovation and cost-effectiveness of our nation's firms to put an end to existing rigid, unfriendly bureaucracies. He will build a national market where insurance is more available, portable, and accessible across state lines; in which patients' rights are respected and their information under their control; and one in which people may save more in tax-exempt Health Savings Accounts."

Another issue on the agenda of the "Bold Solutions" as it is called McCain's plan of reform, is that of regaining the trust of Americans in our government by controlling governmental spending and keeping the taxes low. These solutions represent the best alternative for our nation and voting for McCain, you will vote for stability, security, and traditional values.

Senator McCain is a conservative and he had expressed his support for anti-gay marriage and against abortion. These are issues that should not remain indifferent to any U.S. citizen. One should vote for his favorite presidential candidate based on the values that they share with that candidate. If you are a person dedicated to protecting traditional moral values, than you should vote for McCain!

Every electoral campaign has its key issues. On of the most important issues of the 2008 campaign will be how our country should continue to manage the war in Iraq. Senator McCain is firm in his position that we should not retreat from Iraq and abandon the fight against terrorism. Considering how firmly McCain expresses his support for continuing the war in Iraq although under different command, it is clear that he represents a solution for the current situation. Our nation needs a leader with experience and that has the courage to make the toughest decisions in order to achieve victory. Although McCain has shown his support for the war against terrorism, he has also criticized the ability of President Bush of conducting our troops. McCain comes with a different view of the war, with a different solution that will lead us to victory.
