Abstract

This essay is a continuation of an earlier work based upon a hypothetical organization known as Amalgamated Organics. This organization is a Hawaii based firm that focuses on organic farming and organic farming education. A weighted decision matrix was created to help describe the criteria for strategic development of this firm.

Weighted Decision Matrix

The purpose of this report is to utilize a the Amalgamated Organics procurement project to help assist in understanding weighted criteria evaluations matrixes. After giving some background about Amalgamated Organics, this report will identify four evaluation criteria and assign a weight to each of the four criteria. A further breakdown of that criteria will then be presented to detail the explanations about the ranking. Finally an Excel worksheet matrix will also be added to demonstrate the weighted screening of all four criteria.

2 Low importance

1 Very low importance

The following four criteria selected from the 11 responsibilities will be evaluated in a weighted matrix:1. Secure Financing, 2. Hiring, 3. Marketing Plan, 4. Secure Retail Channels.

These criteria were selected due to the fact that they combine to make a general approach to the development of the project. Financing is necessary for obvious reasons.
