Summer Law Program The author of this response has been given the opportunity to give some feelings and a response to why it is the author's desire and intent to attend the summer law program. Those reasons are numerous and will be discussed one by one. The program would be a major and exciting challenge for the author of this request and response and the author will now detail why that is believed to be the case.

First of all, the author of this response understands that the summer law program will be rigorous and difficult in nature. It is understood by the author of this response that he rigors to be endured and experienced will very much mirror and reflect those that will be experienced when the remainder of law school is under way. The author understands that the summer law program is meant to resemble and manifest the rigors of what it will be like when the full law program is under way.

The author welcomes that challenges and wishes to experience with full flavor the challenges and experiences that will typify and define the normal law school experience. One part of the program that is mentioned is the fact that there will be two legal memoranda written as well as a final exam administered. This is yet another part of the program that will very much resemble the rigors that will be experienced when standard law school is entered and experienced.

The author of this response very much wants to know what it will be like to experience law school in its full and raw form and it would seem that this program is meant to do precisely that. Also, since the teaching of the program is done by three bona fide and full time members of the faculty, this would mean that the people doing the teaching are not just some amateurs that do it for fun.

These are teachers and administrators that are part and parcel of what a real law school program would be like and the author of this request looks forward to it. Another appealing part of the program is that much of the work is done in small groups. The author of this report loves working with people and the law is a realm of thought and academics that brings in a litany of different perspectives and thought patterns.

Even the United State Supreme Court has very differing viewpoints about legal issues and cases that may seem very "black and white" to some. The potential back and forth of small groups could very much resemble the arena of ideas that exists in a court room. Also, the fact that professors and assistants will provide individualized attention is very interesting and appealing. So often, classes in high demand are taught in cavernous lecture halls and the amount of personal and/or one-on-one attention is limited to none.

To be in such in a rigorous program that is full of personal attention would be highly advantageous for my career and for my overall academic performance. Also, the ability to "meet and greet" with relevant student organizations would be a huge plus because it would allow networking with people that are like-minded and that have already started progressing down the proverbial path of becoming a lawyer. Finally, the last past of the program that is very appealing is.
