150). Already, the major telecommunication companies are adopting WiMAX into their business plans. "U.S. operator Clearwire plans to launch 2.5GHz WiMAX services this year. The company's Xohm service aims to start operations in Baltimore in September, followed by Chicago and Washington, D.C., before year-end" (Lemon 2007, p1.). Computer giant Intel is adding WiMAX as an option to its Centrino 2 laptop chip platform in 2008 and making them available in those cities. Today, Baltimore and Chicago, tomorrow New York, and perhaps soon all of the United States will have the option of WiMAX.
