Wireless Prevalence or Not

There is presently much controversy regarding wireless technology, as while some prefer to consider that the future looks promising when regarding it, others are pessimistic because of its negative effects. Technology has advanced greatly during the last few years and it is very difficult for people to continue using conventional methods of transmitting information. Judging from recent trends, wireless is most likely to prevail in the near future because society is in need of more comfortable telecommunicating devices (H1). The contemporary world does not need wireless technology because people are still able to transmit information using wires (H0).

Wires are slowly but surely becoming a thing of the past as more and more devices start to send and receive information using wireless technology. According to David Henry (2011), the senior director of product marketing for NETGEAR, home networking in the future is likely to consist out of numerous devices being connected to each other and to the internet. More and more devices come with internet access and with wireless connection, making it increasingly difficult for consumers to keep up without installing a wireless rooter to provide access to gadgets from around the house. The fact that tablets are rapidly entering the market and the houses of many internet users is yet another factor influencing people in wanting to install a wireless network. Not only do people need to have wireless networks, as they will need to adopt new methods of exploiting them to the fullest. Also, they will need to develop techniques of avoiding experiencing interruptions when they are connected. "Powerful routers, home gateways, centralized media servers, powerline network adapters, and wireless add-ons like Wi-Fi range-extenders will soon become the norm for the connected home" (Henry).

Perfect wireless transmission is going to make it possible for information to be sent to various devices with little to no interferences as a result of rapid communication between gadgets. Modern homes are already providing their inhabitants with the technology that will be present in most houses in a few years. People are presently able to control mostly everything about their home through using wireless technology. With customers expressing an increasing hunger in data, wireless carriers do their best to satisfy the needs of these people. Companies providing wireless are currently investing in wireless equipment because analysts anticipate that it is going to be one of the most important technologies fueling the comfort of society in the future. Wireless technology is most certainly one of the best business opportunities that one can invest in, especially given that science produces a rising number of devices that can be operated wirelessly.

Although wireless technology is recognized for the fact that it makes networking more comfortable, the "wire vs. wireless" dilemma mainly depends on whether the person having this difficulty wants faster networking. If this is the case, and, if he or she has access to wire networking, than it is best for him and her to use it. Optical fiber allows data to be transmitted with astonishing speeds, making it difficult for individuals to turn to wireless when they want fast networking.
