Mission
Improving women’s lives by means of sponsorship, education and guidance, besides offering Baker, Duval and Nassau county rape victims (any gender) recovery services (“The Women’s Center of Jacksonville” 2017).

Adults with childhood molestation experiences, disabled individuals, aged persons, victims’ families, LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender), males, females, adolescents, children, other languages.

This Center’s Rape Recovery unit backs and empowers sexual abuse victims via advocacy for their respect, rights, and dignity. It allows specialist collaboration and offers community education services for aiding individuals belonging to all genders in preventing or recovering from rape (“The Women’s Center of Jacksonville” 2017).
Quigley House
Mission
To empower and advocate for sexual and spousal abuse/attack victims and to offer community education for increasing awareness.
To end the spousal abuse cycle via crisis intervention, protection, temporary housing, community education, prevention and counseling services.
Population served
This inclusive sexual and spousal abuse/attack center serves adults with childhood molestation experiences, disabled individuals, aged persons, victims’ families, LGBT, males, females, adolescents and children, within Northeastern Florida’s Clay County (“Quigley House Home” 2015).
Services available
Individual/Group counseling, Hotline, Support Groups, Expert Education, Societal Education, Advocacy by Criminal/Legal Justice System, Victim Support Advocacy, Practical/Casework Related Aid, Hospital Accompaniment, and Emergency Shelter (“RAINN” 2016).
Crisis intervention techniques or theory used
Quigley offers a 26-week, male-targeted, batterer intervention educational initiative. Further, adult sexual violence victims can avail themselves of this organization’s advocacy and counseling services, which encompass group and individual counseling, and round-the-clock advocacy for aiding sexual violence victims. The organization offers economically-priced, temporary apartments to spousal abuse victims committed to breaking free from their abusive spouses, besides safe shelters for assisting them in rebuilding their lives. A committed Transition Case Manager offers concentrated case management for helping the organization’s residents in budgeting, parenting, developing employability and so forth.
Betty Griffin Center
Mission
To protect and deliver superior quality services to sexual and spousal assault victims and family members (especially minor members of the family), within Florida’s St. Johns County. The Center operates a shelter that provides transitional guidance, general aid and counseling (“Betty Griffin Center” 2017).
To provide community education on the subject of services offered and create awareness linked to sexual and spousal violence, for the purpose of ending abuse cycles.
Population served
The Center runs a fifty-four-bed-capacity emergency shelter, offers outreach, education and training to all inhabitants of Floridian St. Johns County, and owns half a dozen transition apartments.
Services available
Non-residents and residents of the shelter have access to services like round-the-clock crisis hotline, case management, court advocacy, group/individual counseling, and legal civil representation. The center offers individual accommodation and services to male abuse victims (“Betty Griffin Center” 2017).
Crisis intervention techniques or theory used
Operating with conventional and formal legal systems. Volunteers and personnel are at hand for facilitating application for protection injunction, individual advocacy, court appearance, referral and sexual and spousal attack/abuse. Organizational attorney referrals for representation at court are based on individual case, via injunction (“Betty Griffin Center” 2017).
Male participation in preventing and responding to gender and spousal abuse. This center provides professional prevention-related training within school and community settings, in addition to education on sexual and spousal abuse dynamics.
Evaluation, supervision, and recording of cases of spousal assault. The center’s safety shelter records the communication mode of choice of the client, with all supporting services and aids asked for recorded within the program file of the client (“Betty Griffin Center” 2017).
