Yes, definitely Noreen should take the job because if not they would have a hard time feeding their kids and live the normal life especially now that Allen's job is not guaranteed to continue for a long time and it might close anytime now so better be sure than sorry. What factors support that view? In today's society, the mother usually works also aside from the father because it adds income to the family.

With our economic situation today if only the father works, the family will have a hard time living in an acceptable lifestyle. The tuition fees increases, the basic requirement of the family such as food and shelter gets higher, so to be able to cope with those needs the mother should help the family in giving the extra money to sustain their basic needs.

What factors support the opposite view? The traditional old school values when having a family is that the father will serve as the head of the family, he will work for them and devout more of his time to his family after work. The mother will take care of the child/children, nurture them and guide them through growing up. The wife should be submissive to the husband. She will do all the dirty work in the house, she will be the one to budget their money.

The husband will work full time to get paid while the wife will work full time with the kids and at home. 4. What will happen if Allen and Noreen act as you suggest? Allen and Noreen support each other. The Allen work full time and the wife stayed at home but when the work of the Allen is at stake, Noreen did not waste a single minute and looked for a job.
