My assignment is to write a paper about something that people often make assumptions about. I decided to write on Islam. Other than that Muslims carried out the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 most Americans know little about the faith. I want to move pass the assumptions and stereotypes. Expose the audience to how rich and diverse the Muslim culture actually is.

I want to teach the reader of my paper that there are several different schools of Islam and that the Muslims who despise the west and want to destroy it are primarily from the Wahhabi School. Wahhabism is a religious movement or a branch within Sunni Islam that is considered extremist and/or heretical by many Sunni and Shi'a, and condemns all Shi'a and most Sunnis as non-Muslim in turn. Wahhabism can be found in Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan (the Taliban follows strict Wahhabi teachings.)

I would like to point out that the core of Islam is peace and that the Koran states that Jews and Christians are brothers to Muslims. Even though the Catholics never saw the Jews or Muslims are their brothers, hence the Crusades and the expulsion of Jews and Muslims from Spain in 1492. I would also like to point out that the Wahhabi's do not speak for all if Islam. And that their actions are not supported by most Muslims.

I would like to capture the audience's attention and hold onto it through the whole paper. So no filler, no cold heartless facts, and no Christian bias just the facts about the religion. This is an essay for the common man not an uptight academic. Therefore, I would like the whole paper to flow together effortlessly. While at the same time show that it was written by someone who knows what they are talking about.

I would like to start the essay with the line, When most people think Muslim they think terrorist... (Or something like that)

Mormonism Is the Religious and
PAGES 3 WORDS 1103

The first paper is about Mormonism. Please write a minimum of 750 words on the strengths and weaknesses of the religion as you perceive them.

I just need this paper to be quality. I just got burned by a foreign site like you warn about on this site. So now I'm a day late and paranoid about simple grammer mistakes.

On that note, I am totally willing to work with the writer in any way they need (I'd actually prefer to). I have done extensive research into my paper as it is and have a lot to offer if you feel you need help. I have tones of information as well as different possible theses. Luckily the subject itself is fairly broad, so if you feel it woud be easier for you to pick your own thesis that's fine too. I don't care what it takes I just need to get this paper done, and with all my other finals and papers I just don't have the actual time. I even have several pages of cited work on the issue (if it helps). I've just been wishy washy and now I'm out of hours.

The course is basically a 'You're about to graduate with a degree in history course, so write a big paper'; the whole class is based around this one paper. That's why I choose 'thesis' as the document type. It needs all of the 'chapters' you mention, footnotes as well.

At minimum, the thesis must involve 'masculinity' and 'Japan' and a mention of "Western/foriegn" masculinity. It must draw upon at least 8 secondary sources, 5 book sources and scholarly articles or essays (I have tones of these). It must draw upon primary source materials ( a variation of sources is nice, but say a single collection on one person would do as well). The good thing is that my teacher knows a lot about American masculinity but almost nothing about Japanese masculinity, also neither of us speak Japanese, so primary sources, translated or in English, should be fairly easy to identify; this should allow for a broader focus. If you want a more narrow focus, I told him I was working on an analysis of Meiji Era masculinities (late 19th century). I don't know how much you may know about masculinity but the basic idea is that masculinity is a socially/culturally formed conception about the male gender. The thesis of this essay then will neccessarily involve how a 'conception' or 'conceptions' of masculinity 'changed', 'formed', 'were influenced by', 'reacted to'...any of these or some combination will do. I was planning on noting how the forced opening of trade relations with the West at the begining of the Meiji Era, Japan's subsequent rapid adaption of Western ways, especially industrialization changed their conceptions of masculinity. It's not that difficult a topic as the whole society got an overhall; the masculine culture definiately had to undergo a change caused by something particular. All you'd have to say is something along the lines of 'primary source records 'x' indicate that 'rich' Japanese men struggled with Western culture's trait 'y' and eventually decided to be embody less traditional notions of Japanese masculinity (or Westerners pissed Japanese 'blue collar' workers off, so they adopted a more fiercly conservative/traditional sense of Japanese masculinity). You could actually probably find evidence for either or both of these theses fairly easily. Either way the emphasis should be on primary source interpretation as much as possible. Though I could care less if you actually look at primary sources or just steal them via secondary sources that talk about them. Both approaches are acceptable as long as you cite properly.

Alternatively, If you don't like this subject, you can do the paper on the more contemporary (post WWII) rise of the 'salaryman'. About which there's an overkill of research and writings. It would just be maybe a little more difficult to tie 'Western' masculinity back in somehow. Please don't do it on both Meiji and post WWII stuff, that focus is much to broad.

A final note, the professor says he wants 'original' research in primary sources. But the assignment for everyone else is southern American masculinity, which he knows alot about. He knows little to nothing about Japanese masculinity so making your work 'stand-out' from other secondary sources isn't necessary. Just please make it 'sound' like you offer some unique perspective. You could even repeat an obvious Japanese perspetive on masculinity if you can come up with a unique way in which it was influenced by American masculinity.

Feel free to contact me at any time if you get stuck or need help with anything. I know a good bit about the subject so I can speed things up. Also it may be a good idea to let me know your thesis just in case. I'm gunshy about the Chinese dude who must've done my last paper, but PLEASE have a clearly defined thesis that you clearly support and back up with sources. If you happen to be well qualified or have a 'MA', feel free to write at your highest level of writing and depth.

Gay in Turkey Has a
PAGES 13 WORDS 4332

Turkey is one of the few countries in the world that is the fusion of independence and oppression. The east part is more undeveloped and narrow-minded. On the other hand, even though the west part is known for its modernity, you can still feel this contradiction, even in Istanbul, the most developed city in Turkey with its 12 million inhabitants. In Turkey, living standards are easier for men when compared to women. But If you are gay it is really difficult to live there. Being gay is something that Turkish people dont accept at all. Only a small part in the west accepts it. It leads to refusing the person who is gay or exclude him/her from the society. At worst scenario it causes suicide or murder. It causes an unhappy life full of contradictions. So this paper will look into getting a better understanding of why people in Turkey dont accept gay people? Is it something related being an Islamic society? How does a gay feels in Turkey? What are the thinks that people should do to be more understanding in this field ? Is Turkey becoming a more conservative country regarding gay people or becoming more modern? What are the latest news considering gay people in Turkey? What is the difference between gays on the east and gays on the west in Turkey? I would be glad if you can answer these questions in the essay deeply and also make a short description about turkey in the first paragraph. You will also want to look at some printed texts to support the web research. Maybe look up articles on homosexuality in muslim or islamic societies. For many middle eastern countries tge identity of homosexual doesnt exist- so the beginning of homosexual identity in turkey may also reflet a relation between Turkey and the west. It is not necessary to structure the paper along these lines; they are simply elements of approach that should be integrated into the paper. Do NOT include a general introduction to Lukes Gospel. In addition to the commentary by Luke Timothy Johnson, you should consult at least three other good commentaries. The use of additional sources ??" e.g., monographs, journal articles, a good Bible dictionary ??" would also be advisable.

The readings for Week 2, the 20th century, focus on poetry. There will be a number of lessons on the Main Forum on the literary techniques used by poets ??" one of which is Imagery. Through rich vocabulary and figures of speech (similes and metaphors), the poet creates imagery (word pictures) so that you can imagine the subject and so that the poet can convey ideas, emotions, his or her personal point of view on a subject, such as an event, object, place, or person.

Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word paper describing (and comparing) how any three of the poets listed in Week 2 (assigned or not) use imagery to express their feelings, ideas, or point of view about their subject. You may refer to other poetic techniques ??" if they contribute to the imagery.
The introductory paragraph should hook the reader. Your thesis statement should be a well-crafted statement that compares and contrasts the three poets you have selected. (I suggest you write the thesis statement after you have written the paper) See the lessons on reading and quoting poetry posted to the Main Forum.
Think about the type of imagery each poet uses (Is it based on any particular subject, such as the animal kingdom, nature, colors, sounds?) How are the three poets similar? How are they different? What does their poetry ay about them? About their subjects? Which appealed to you most and why?
You must use evidence (quotes, specific examples) to illustrate and support your claims (opinions). There will be a lesson on how to quote in the Main Forum.
Personal Essay: This paper is based on your own readings and interpretation of the poems. No research or sources beyond the textbook are required, but you may use such sources purely for background information ??" as long as you have read the poems yourself and most of the paper is your own response.

Jesus is Rejected at Nazareth

In order to assess the progress of the student in understanding the basic historical, cultural, social, religious and communal contexts that informed the New Testament and the key themes of and situations that occasioned the different New Testament books, as well as in applying the techniques of modern biblical scholarship to the New Testament texts, the student will complete the first of two mini-exegetical exercises and submit them to the professor. In this exercise the student will choose a portion of the life and ministry of Jesus that is common to multiple Gospels and write an essay that explains the reasons for both the similarities and differences between the different accounts. This explanation should include how the background information behind each Gospel, including the original authors themes, practical concerns, theological concerns, audience, and goals in writing affected their particular version of the story. The student should also explain the role of the sources for the gospels and how the authors edited their sources based on their own individual themes, goals, purposes, and agendas in writing. The student should also mention what scholarly critical methods of New Testament scholarship they are using (e.g., source criticism, redaction criticism, form criticism, narrative criticism, etc.) as they go through their explanation, and provide a brief assessment of the merits of these scholarly methods they are using

Research Paper.

Topics should be drawn from the four Gospels, introductory matters, theology, criticism, exegesis, etc. It is important that you identify the thesis of your paper --what you will argue for and substantiate. Use headings and subheadings that will help you and your readers to know where you are going in a logical manner. Serious attention should be devoted to the primary texts, which are integrated with the secondary sources. Choose a topic that is specific enough that you can cover in depth. A topic such as Jesus and prayer is far too general and impossible to cover with any sense of depth. Make sure that you are arguing for your thesis all the way through the paper. Leave other stuff alone that is not directly relevant. Here is an example of a specific thesis statement --in italics: The Parable of the Children in the Marketplace is positioned within a chapter that deals with the identities and roles of both John the Baptist and Jesus in Israel's history. In the transparent explanation of the parable (vss. 18-19a), Jesus compares His ministry with John's; both have experienced rejection by a fickle and unresponsive generation that does not know what it wants, needs, or possesses --thereby leading to Jesus' indictment of the present generation for its superficial quarreling and rejection of God's two important messengers.

A. The form of the paper should follow the style outlined by Turabian and our in-house Guidelines for Term Papers and Biblical and Theological Topics.

B. Please do not substitute reading the secondary sources for a careful reading of the Bible. Both types of reading (primary and secondary) need to be done in a balanced and thoughtful way.

C. In addition, articles from Bible dictionaries, Bible or religious encyclopedias, and scholarly journals may be consulted, as well as reliable commentaries (check with instructor). Any references appearing on topical reading lists may likewise be utilized.

D. At least eight standard texts (besides "articles") are to be consulted in a major way for a paper. In no case, however, should such secondary sources replace investigation of the Biblical text itself.

Your World Religions Report should be 2300-2700 words in length, formatted according to APA guidelines, and contain the following elements:
1. Introduction of the religion and its origin
2. Name, location and review of the site.
3. Interview summary
