¶ … admired those that have done remarkable things in their lives. They remained in the collective memory of the community as valuable products of humanity. Ever since the early ages, as plays were performed in the world's first theatres, writers and directors were been needed to coordinate the acting. In time, several of the respective artists have influenced the world and have drawn fans who acclaimed their performance.
The people acquainted with the world of film that can claim that they are not familiar with any of Stanley Kubrick's films are not many. As a film director, Kubrick has both fans and critics. His work made him one of the most controversial people in the film business. Unlike other film directors, Kubrick did not take into account what people usually wanted to see in a film. Instead, he created his own audience for his unconventional movies thus beginning a new style. He started as an independent film director and quickly troubled the spirits within the film industry by becoming a model for several of the young directors of the time.
Kubrick's early critics did not know how to deal with the film director as they had not been acquainted with his bizarre style. As a result, one of his first major films named "2001: A Space Odyssey" received a lot of criticism at its first premiere in New York.
Whenever receiving critiques, Kubrick felt that he had to explain to people that his movies did not deserve being attacked. With the release of "A Clockwork Orange" as one of the films which would become representative for Kubrick's style, the director again felt that he had to make people have a better opinion about the film. However, the movie raised a lot of controversy and Kubrick became disappointed with the public's reaction to it.
In his career, Kubrick has shown that life is not all about following standards or making art with the intention of making money. Instead, he proved that art can be achieved through more than one means and that his movies would ultimately achieve great results in the film industry.
The main reason for why Kubrick has drawn many critiques for his movies is that he chose to satirize society through a series of cliches.
Similar to Kubrick, Park Chan-Wook, the South-Korean filmmaker, has intended to make movies that would bring together both comedy and drama into films that have a touch of satire of the society.
Park's films are generally recognized for the direct way that he uses to make his audience better accustomed with his work. Both Park and Kubrick have abused extreme violence and S.F. In their movies, but this only added to the dramatic feeling that one gets when viewing one of their creations. Kubrick and Park stand out from the rest of the film directors for the reason that they had created their own distinctive styles with the risk of not having any fans at first.
