Social protest created an opportunity for people to interact with each other, and in the process, express their opinion about the issue at hand. Through this communication and interaction, people can verify about truth and falsities in the information and opinion that abound society, and actively discriminate against information that is false and detrimental to the welfare of society in general. People's active involvement in the contemporary society showed that indeed, rationalization had been and is continuously achieved according to Habermas' terms and categorization.
