DWI Fatality Victim
Angela Runningen live a full and happy life. After orientation at college in Eau Claire, she tried out for the cheerleading squad, and spent her student travelling the upper Midwest competing with the squad while earning a diploma in agricultural studies.
Upon graduation, she accepted a position in the accounts payable department Milwaukee at a small engine parts factory. It was there that she met her husband, Mark, and after a courtship of three years, the two married in a lavish ceremony in Houston, MN before honeymooning at Niagara Falls. The two returned to Milwaukee. Three years later, Angela gave birth to their first child, Desmond.
The couple decided to move out of the city to raise their family. For Angela, it was an opportunity to make use of her agricultural background. They bought a small farm outside of Madison. While Mark worked in town, Angela raised Desmond and his younger sister Emma. During this period of her life, Angela began to prepare preserves and jams using fruits from the farm. When Emma was old enough to go to school, Angela started an apiary as well, and began to sell her preserves and honeys at the Saturday market.
Angela's stand was a hit and she decided to pursue the business as a career. Mark left his job and the two started Angie's Preserves, using her recipes. The company would eventually expand to distribute across Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois, with Angela as CEO.
While this was going on, Angela became godmother to her brother Kyle's twin daughters, who were developmentally disabled. In honor of her goddaughter's, Angela started a charity to help developmentally disabled children in the Madison area.
Angela and Mark put their two children through college, and Desmond moved to Chicago to pursue a law career. Emma stayed in Madison, and Angela groomed her daughter to take over the family business. In time, Emma gave Angela and Mark two wonderful grandsons, and Desmond embarked on a trip around the world, sending back art work from many countries to be auctioned off for in a charitable benefit.
At the age of 60, Angela decided to retire from Angela's Preserves, handing the reigns to her daughter, while still contributing recipes. She and Mark filled their retirement with many cruises, all over the world. At the age of 67, the two sat down to write a guidebook on cruises for retirees, with Angela writing and Mark handling photography. The book went on to become a top 200 seller on Amazon. Desmond, returned from several years overseas with his Singaporean bride and son, took his parents' book and turned it into an entire series of travel guides for the retiree market.
