I had no idea how to get from step one to step three. After considering this, I realized that many of my students most likely felt the same way. I needed to show them how to write. In response to the other concerns, I realized that the person with the bad attitude was bothering me because I thought his dull looks were trying to imply that I was a bad teacher. I realized that I needed to ignore the student, but to make sure he understood that he had consequences for poor behavior. Finally, I realized that running out of time was a product of my scheduling too many items on our agenda. I understood that I would need to pare down my lesson plans to make sure the students got each concept.
In order to implement these changes, I used creativity. For the next class, I showed up with a sense of humor, a bowl of candy, and a loose outline instead of a definite plan including...
I spent about 20 minutes just answering student questions. I made sure that each student understood the requirements of the class and the assignments. Next, I moved on to explaining writing concepts by modeling. I had them shout out topics, audiences, genres, and purposes and put them on the board to connect them. Then, I placed my own draft on the overhead and began to show them how I might critique myself. After doing this, I asked the students to critique my draft, then their own. The result was wonderful. The students understood what was going on, grasped the assignments, and handled the subject matter.
Thus, this problem was one that was very stressful to me as a teacher, but I was able to solve it only through a combination of analysis and creativity. Through combining these methods, I solved a problem and learned better teaching methods.
strong and positive actions can school take to help solve the problems of youth? The poet Langston Hughes once asked if the proverbial "dream deferred" of a young person's thwarted ambition in life "dried up like a raisin in the sun" or "does it explode?" Perhaps it does not matter so much what metaphor is most apt to explain this phenomenon, but how to prevent such a deferment from occurring

Teaching Strategies Problems Long Division Area Perimeter and Volume Ratio Proportion Percentages Strategic teaching describes an instructional process that focus on student's thinking capabilities and goes well beyond that. Strategic learning is correlated with strategic teaching. A strategic teacher should have an understanding of variables regarding instruction and he is required to be aware of the cognitive requirements of learning like sense of timing and a style of management. Feedback should also inform the planning of subsequent lessons and activities and come from a variety of perspectives including the student, classmates, and the teacher (Kirkwood, 2000). Problems with this method of instruction occur when expectations are unclear or feedback is ambiguous, sporadic, or overly negative. Classroom behavioral norms must be established and respected. Care must also be taken to protect and support students from undue ridicule and criticism in
Teaching Journal Today being a productive teacher is more challenging than ever. Children are much more used to varied classroom approaches, with the Internet, computers and other electronic equipment becoming the norm. Gone are the days when students sit quietly in their seats while the teacher stands and does mathematics on the chalkboard and reads from a textbook. I believe I am well prepared to meet this educational challenge. I know it
