These qualities that my mother possesses have made a huge impact in my life, enough reason for my mother to be an important person in my life. And as it was, I've already admired my mother for her immense love for us. It's amazing how a person can continue to surprise us with their capabilities, personalities, and attitudes. In 2005, during the hurricane Katrina, I saw another side of my mother that I'll always be grateful to have seen. During that difficult time, my mother opened our house in order to help three families from the storm. I realized that my mother's capacity for immense love is truly exceptional; this made me admire her even more. Through this experience I figured that to truly understand receiving, one has to believe in giving. As far as I can remember, life has not been easy for us. My family has never had a lot. We haven't been as fortunate as the other people have been. There have been days when we had no idea where our next meal would come from and yet, my mother always managed to find a way. She has somehow always found a way to help us get through each day even if it meant that she had to eat less or not eat at all just so my brother and I could eat. My mother's countless sacrifices for us are a testament of her immense love for us. I am infinitely grateful for her because of this. If it weren't for her love, generosity, and her capacity to sacrifice for her children, things would be different for me and my brother. These qualities that my mother possesses have made a huge impact in my life, enough reason for my mother to be an important person in my life. And as it was, I've already admired my mother for her immense love for us.
