The political climate is currently a tense one at a global level and this is due to the internationalized economic crisis. Governments across the globe are unsure of how to best approach the recession in order to manage it. These tensions are obvious at the global level, but are even more intense within the European Union, where Great Britain is a member state. The complexities are increased by the severity of the crisis in Greece, as well as by the different opinions of European governments
Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence in Order
The key contrast is that both data warehouses and BI are two totally different constructs. The first refers to systems that are used for storing data for archival, analysis, and security purposes. The second refers to variety of software applications that are used to analyze the data that the organization has accumulated. Forrester Research, for instance, distinguishes BI by defining them as " a set of methodologies, processes, architectures, and technologies that transform raw data into meaningful and useful information used to enable more effective strategic, tactical, and operational insights and decision-making." (Evelson, 2008).
Globalization Impact During the Past
During the past few years, the world has contracted to a size of a small village. The world has become a global village. There are no barriers between nations, the boundaries parting countries are eliminating day by day, and much of this change is due to a simple term called ‘Globalization'. The argument of what exactly does this term means varies from people to people. Globalization is:
the ways in which, more people become more connected across larger distances, they create a new world society in which they do more similar things, affect each other's life more deeply, follow more of the same norms, and grow more aware of what they say (Lechner 11)
