Diversity is an important aspect of every human being since it's a reflection of the person's distinctiveness that makes him/her different from other people. This paper examines the concept of diversity based on the case of Myplace: The Place for Diversity Multimedia Analysis. This article examines the definition of diversity and identifies its various visible and hidden dimensions.

Stakeholder analysis is the first stage in the situational assessment. The engineers who have the mandate to construct roads determine the quality of the roads that the vehicles travel in regularly. Road safety is a serious issue globally. Approximately more than 1.3 million people perish annually globally. In the US, the statistics reflect exactly those of the whole globe. On average, there are almost 40,000 deaths each year. Offering safety in the roads is the mandate of the government though mostly it delegates duties to a national agency.

International recruitment and selection brings a number of challenges for business organizations. Introduction Wetlands are the main link between the land and the water, and as such are vitally important to the ecology. Wetlands have been misunderstood and abused throughout the history of the United States – and elsewhere in the world – and that has led to enormous environmental losses. This paper explores all pertinent information with regard to wetlands. What are Wetlands? The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) defines wetlands as those "…transition zones where the flow of water, the cycling of nutrients," along with the sun's energy, all meet in order to create "…a unique ecosystem characterized by hydrology, soils, and vegetation" (EPA). The four categories of wetlands are swamps, bogs, fens and marshes. The EPA describes marshes as wetlands that are "…dominated by soft-stemmed vegetation"; swamps are quite different, as they are composed of "mostly woody plants." As for bogs, they are freshwater wetlands that were formed by glacier-made lakes; bogs are dominated by "spongy peat deposits, evergreen trees and shrubs" with a floor featuring a "thick carpet of sphagnum moss" (EPA). The EPA defines fens as "freshwater peat-forming wetlands" that are noted for grasses, reeds, wildflowers and sedges.

The focus of the article is an evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of nursing competencies based on the Nurse Manager Skills Inventory by the American Organization of Nurse Executives. The areas examined are personal and professional accountability, career planning, personal journey disciplines, and reflective practice reference behaviors/tenets. The other sections analyze how to advocate for change in the workplace based on current leadership sets and personal goal for leadership growth.

This paper will describe some approaches to cancer treatment. Cancer treatment certainly includes treatments to fight the disease, but there are also treatments that support the person carrying the disease, as well as anyone who is close to the cancer patients and functions as part of the patient's support system in some way. The paper will offer some tips toward prevention of cancer, diagnosis of cancer, and describe the different stages of cancer. Cancer treatment is not a straight forward process and there are risks as well as complications. As with any disease and treatment, there are side effects, which are another aspect of the disease that should be treated and supported. Therefore, the paper will attempt to describe both the physical and psychological effects of cancer on a person. Cancer is not an immediate death sentence for a person; changes in perspective, health habits, and a strong relationship with one's oncologist combine for a more effective treatment of cancer with an increased likelihood for remission.

Introduction Workplace training is vitally important for any company – whether the company has mostly native-born experienced workers or a culturally diverse workforce including recent immigrants. But when it comes to training needs for culturally diverse employees there are strategies that should be applied and fine-tuned, and this paper addresses those strategies and tactics. Thesis: Old training models – used by HR departments and in business colleges – that are linear and simplistic should be considered outdated and irrelevant. The up-to-date training strategies do not stereotype cultures based on national cultural generalizations, but rather they approach cultural training based on individuals and their values and their ability to adjust to values in the new work environment.

The following pages focus on analyzing an incident in a company. This incident is represented by a conflict between the sales manager and the account managers in the company. The conflict is analyzed on individual level based on the hierarchy of needs model, and on organizational level based on the diversity theory.
