The essay asks whether racial profiling helps police attempts and concludes that tit does not: not because it is anti-constitutional, which it is, but because it promotes bigotry as well as self-reinforcing stereotypes. On the one hand, economists (and others) may claim that racial profiling is not bigotry but rather follows law of probability.
