Genetically modified foods offer many benefits, such as higher yields and more resistant crops, but there are also some drawbacks. In particular, potential threats to human health and the environment have hindered the widespread consumption of genetically modified foods. This essay looks at the data objectively and concludes that fears regarding human health are overstated, while threats to the environment are understated.
