Summary and ReflectionDifferent Literary GenresThe different genres of the Bible are: historical narrative, law, wisdom literature, poetry, prophecy, apocalyptic literature, gospels and epistles. Some books of the Bible blend genres, so it is difficult to say, for instance, that Matthew is of the gospel genre when it also appears to be an historical narrative as well. Most books, however, will be predominantly of one of these genres.The historical narrative genre tells the history of the Hebrews and the early Christians. Acts in the New Testament is a perfect example of a historical narrative as it tells what the Apostles did after being filled with the Holy Ghost. The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are also of this genre, as is the Old Testament books of Joshua, Genesis, Exodus, Kings, Chronicles and several others. Weather: A Second Grade Thematic Unit

The proposed thematic unit is designed for a general education classroom at the second grade level. The suggested time frame is three weeks, but the unit could be either shortened slightly or extended by adjusting the number of activities. eading activities include shared reading and self-selected reading from a variety of books provided by the teacher. The book selection should include multiple genres and multiple reading levels. A suggested list is included. Writing activities engage students in the five stages of the writing process. Though formulaic language expressions have been in regular use, in popular media forms, for at least the majority of the twentieth century if not indeed for centuries longer, their recognition and study is recent development (Van Lancker-Sidtis & allon 2004). Some texts have even been found to be comprised of a quarter or of formulaic expressions, demonstrating at once a reliance on collective cultural interpretations and a marked lack of originality in popular media language use (Van Lancker-Sidtis & allon 2004). These phrases make for interpretations that are both more colloquially colored and less symbolically imbued for their necessarily repetitive nature (thus their emergence as formulaic expressions) and their needed consistency in order to remain meaningful (Van Lancker-Sidtis & allon 2004).

Sh-nen and shojo differ from each other mainly through the thematic stories they choose to tell. The narratives given in each type of anime or manga are indicative of the audience, where sh-nen gears toward boys, and shojo gears toward girls. The two have some similar aspects; for one, Osamu Tezuka had played a large part in the influence of both as popular manga culture. Not only has Tezuka penned the likes of sh-nen works such as Astro Boy and Kimba the White Lion, he has also been responsible for the shojo manga of Princess Knight. However, because I was drawn to these characters, I wanted them to live lives that were happy fulfilled, and filled with joy, not conflict. Of course, if that were the case, they would have no stories to tell.
What would I do differently? I'm not sure. I might have chosen different works, and yet these spoke to me. I might have looked for different critiques, but they were hard to come by. I might have watched a "Will & Grace" episode for background, but I did not. I am not sure there was a lot I could have done differently, unless I chose something different to zero in on in the thesis. Then of course the paper would have taken an entirely different twist. Perhaps I could have looked more deeply into the relationships rather than the characters themselves, or the plot, that Moore seemed to have so many struggles…...

French New ave cinema emerged during the 1950s and was inspired by the criticism of Andre Bazin and Jacques Donial-Valcroze who helped to found Cahiers du Cinema. The Cahiers du Cinema helped to establish two filmmaking philosophies that would help to guide New ave auteurs in the creation of their films.
