Following the death of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs – and the emergence of Tim Cook as the new CEO – the technology media and happy Apple consumers wait for the next launch of an innovative device that will change the way people communicate and retrieve information. What are the Apple values and ethics? The "Apple Values" section of the Apple Employee Handbook (circa 1993) sets the record straight on what is expected of employees. In short, Apple asserts that "…we will not compromise our ethics or integrity in the name of profit" (seanet.com). What Apple does is "…set aggressive goals and drive ourselves hard to achieve them" and "build products" that "extend human capability, freeing people from drudgery and helping them achieve more than they could along" (seanet.com). Moreover, Apple explains that employees should be able to "trust the motives and integrity of their supervisors" and the company emphasizes that dealing "fairly with competitors" is very important (seanet.com).

Was the Movie Accurate? What Inaccuracies can be Identified? There is a good deal of the literature that praises this movie for it's authenticity, which is impressive because many war movies – particularly those about the Vietnam conflict – tend to be made for entertainment purposes – not exact portrayal of historic reality – by Hollywood. Movies made in Hollywood are not obliged to be totally accurate; what movie directors and producers want is a successful film at the box office, not necessarily a film that captures the honest reality of a war scene. However, if directors can reach a reasonably accurate portrayal of the actual events that are being depicted, they can boast that they went the extra mile to approach the truth of what happened.
