Sitting quietly reading my program for the evening, I notice the first piece will be the Overture of the Bartered Bride. I do remember that this is a piece from a comic opera by Bohemian composer Bedrich Semtana.

This is a four page paper. It is about the application of psychological theories and principles to a movie, and the Wizard of Oz was chosen. There are other sources used, too. The main part of the paper talks about Dorothy's dream and how this applies to the chapter in the textbook on consciousness, dreaming, and hypnosis. She also falls into a field of poppies, signifying narcotic drugs. Personality, and social psychology are also discussed.

The U.S. has numerous social problems. Homelessness seems to be one of the most important ones. There are several causes that determine homelessness. However, the primary cause of homelessness can be considered the reduced affordable housing level and the national increase in poverty. Other causes of homelessness refer to high unemployment rates, low salary levels in certain urban and rural areas, the inability of certain individuals to pay health care bills, the inability qualify for public assistance, domestic violence, mental illness, addiction disorders, and others

Abstract This article delineates a hypothetical disaster plan in response to a major earthquake and tsunami in New York City. The disaster plan includes pre-disaster / pre-event preparations, actions taken during the disaster, resources available during the disaster, and post-disaster / post-event strategies. The scope of the disaster plan includes establishment of a new residence and survival plan for disasters with long-term effects. Additionally, the disaster plan contains two separate components: One disaster plan is intended for use if conditions indicate the safest strategy is to shelter in place. The second disaster plan is intended for us if conditions dictate moving to another, safer location. "This awful catastrophe is not the end, but the beginning. History does not end so. Introduction Climate change is no longer a theory to be debated on talk radio and cable TV – it is a fact of life. Many venues in the hotel industry are using whatever tools and technologies they can to reduce their use of energy, water, and otherwise present a green experience for the traveler.
