Herbert Spencer was born in Derby, England and lived between the years 1820-1903. He was an English biologist, sociologist and philosopher and was considered a coarse social Darwinist.

In understanding the role that organizational cultures play within the workforce, one can immediately garner an additional understanding of how and why the collective behaviors of organizations shape the way that work is done within that respective group. As organizational culture refers to "the general collective behavior of all human beings that make up an organization, which is formed by the organizational values, visions, norms, working language, systems, and symbols that make up an organizations beliefs and habits," it is crucial to understand the academic research being done on the topic at present to understand how this culture is changing as organizations look toward the future.

This is an essay predominantly on Management and Leadership. It looks at the impact of Management and Leadership styles on different work situations, evaluating how styles can be adapted. It further looks at the management and leadership styles in Boeing company as the case study and finally how these leadership styles can be adjusted to fit the different leadership needs and situations.

Karl Marx's work in the field of social sciences cannot be ignored. The scientific importance of Marx's work is based on him following the theory of evolution, which was initially concerned with the evolution of mere organic plants and animals and then moved onto the evolution of human society. Marx has been generally considered as a revolutionary scientist who advocates the right side of sociology and his often criticized for that. However, if his work is observed closely, one can easily find similarities between his work and other evolutionary scientists as well. Hence, Marx was an evolutionary as well revolutionary thinker.

This essay refers to the Norway attacks of 2011. A couple of weeks ago the report of the inquiry into the twin terrorist attack by Anders Breivik, which left 77 people dead, was released. The report on this incident is thorough, and scathing, and arguably shows heightened expectations of police leadership and response to terrorist attack in the post 9/11 era. Using this incident analyse the effectiveness of the response of the Police response in conjunction with emergency services and other key stakeholders. Critically discuss the response of the key command personnel involved in terms of their operational effectiveness. This essay should HIGHLIGHT the command challenges this event presented, operational opportunities that arose and practical opportunities commanders had available to mitigate the impact of those factors.
