Abstract The research review of scholarly articles reveals that a management philosophy is essential to the success of an organization. Organization runs and works based on defined specific objectives, and the role of management to direct efforts and resources towards the achievement of these objectives. Over the decades, different management approaches and strategies have been formulated in an attempt to find the most suitable approach that can effectively and sustainably direct towards achievement of organizational strategies. In this review, the Management by Objective approach by Kralev (2011), mission-driven management by Wang (2011), Chinese Confucian Philosophy by He (2011), and moral and ethical management by Dierksmeier (2011) are discussed.

This paper presents a report regarding acquisition of Callaway Golf Company. Financial statements and other industry related information of Callaway is assessed and potential acquirers are advised to delay the decision by at least two quarters of length of time to evaluate the long term direction that the company is heading towards after good performance in only two quarters of 2013. The criteria for assessing company's performance are discussed before making final observation regarding potential success of Callaway in 2013. This paper is concluded and recommendation is provided at the end of paper. Lower than industry average financial performance and negative EBT force the analysts to decrease the likelihood that this firm is a good target of acquisition.

My critical and analytical thinking is multi-faceted. As president and founder of Compass, a real estate company in Italy, my approach needed to be multi-demensional in nature. For one, Italy has high debt burdens which are often financed through governments and large corporations. In many areas, particularly in the United States, commercial real estate is often driven by consumer demand. In Italy however, the exact opposite it true. Through my analytical ability, I was able to successfully navigate through nearly 5 years of recession like macroeconomic cycles. In addition, I was able to deliver profits that exceed nearly 60% of my peers in the industry.

The influences of interest rates on economic growth and use to constrain inflation are explained.
