In attempting to ensure workforce motivation in the transitional period, it is first necessary to identify some core aspects of motivational theory within the context of the achievement of strategic organizational goals. Indeed, the attainment of such a condition requires a sensible balance between managerial commitment to the strategic interests of a business and to the human interests of its everyday operation. This justifies the demand to correspond closely with the various departments which will ultimately be central in the process of adjustment.
The importance of retaining motivation in the organization corresponds directly with stimulation of the impression that all departments and personnel are directly involved in a strategic transition. The presentation of a unified front is essential for an organization undergoing serious change as might effect marketing identity or brand consistency. Often, for a larger organization, making changes which are to persist across an array of operational demands, there are…...
OI and Selecting ProjectsWhy should an organization not rely only on OI to select projects? eturn on Investment (OI) is important when considering a project because it indicates the benefit for the company overall (Haddad, 2013). And while OI is often used as a primary criterion for selecting projects, there are several reasons why organizations should not rely solely on this metric. First, OI calculations can be complex and time-consuming, and may require the use of specialized software. Second, OI results can be sensitive to assumptions and estimates, making it difficult to compare different projects. Finally, OI does not take into account other important factors such as the strategic fit of a project or its alignment with organizational goals (Villanova University, 2022). As a result, relying exclusively on OI to select projects can lead to sub-optimal decision making. Organizations would be better served by using a multi-criteria approach that includes…...

The mission statement of the company in this regard also express that they seek…...

The seven variables that have been termed as "levers" by the authors all start with the letter 'S'.
Following are the things included in the seven variables:
-Strategy
-Systems
-Staff
-Skills
-Structure
-Shared values and -Style.
Structure is explained as the skeleton of the organizational chart or an organization. Strategy has been identified by the authors as the path or plan of action that is taken in order to achieve some goals and target over a period of time. Systems are defined as the routine process and procedures that are carried out within the firms. Staff is further divided into the personal categories within the firms (e.g., engineers). The skills refer to the capabilities possessed by the staff that is working within an organization. Style is defined as the way in which the managers behave or act in order to achieve the organizational goals. Shared value variable basically comprises of the concepts or the principles that the…...

Second Phase: LG's strategic intent
In order to remain competitive, LG has to stick to its long-term vision which should act as stabilizers to the corporation in times of uncertainty. The vision in this case refers to as a statement of the things that can be achieved by the corporation. The concept of strategic intent is very crucial to the operating of a corporation since it acts as a magnet that pulls the present corporate dynamics and activities to the future. Any given strategic intent should be formulated in a manner that the corporation's remain with a large vision that can energize the workforce at all times. The formulation of new strategic intent options can help LG in capturing new markets while remaining competitive within the uncertain economic…...

Smith provided the appropriate managerial direction which struck the right balance between creativity, performance and productivity. His farsightedness which encompassed a wide vision was long-term, ambitious and the same time entirely practical and feasible. (Section 7: Leadership and Management, p. 243)
Having earlier steered a floundering company towards a successful path, Smith's work was uphill. He had to drastically change the organizational culture and structure while reducing conflict within the very talented set of employees and provide them with a collective direction. He was also expected to reduce the atmosphere of uncertainty prevailing in the organization and use the "countercultures" of the earlier two companies to foster innovation and creativity and thus get a competitive advantage for the new organization. The advantage on the other hand is of the retrieval of relevant and solid findings based on which the adequate strategies can be implemented.
4. The congruence model
According to the Mind Tools website, the "congruence model is based on the principle that an organization's performance is derived from four elements: tasks, people, structure, and culture. The higher the congruence, or compatibility, amongst these elements, the greater the performance" (Mind Tools, 2010). The advantage of the model is that of simplifying the issues promoted by the previous models and revealing an analysis structure constructed onto four elements alone. This implies lower task complexities and leads to more efficiently retrieved results. However, it could also lead to sometimes irrelevant findings as it does not take into consideration elements outside the organization, such as the socio-economic climate. In other words, this model is highly applicable when conducting an internal audit, but its efficiency…...

This calls for both physical and mental strength (Army egulation 600-100, 2007).
Comparing my organization's code of ethics with my own, I conclude that on literal grounds it is similar in many ways. The ethical code of the U.S. Army calls for being dutiful, honest, fulfillment of obligations and tolerance towards others. However, I feel that in many ways these ethics are not practically put into practice the way they should have been. One example is that within an army, there is little democracy that prevails. A junior member of the regiment has a little chance of expressing his/her opinion to the senior. Also in some cases promotional chances are not allowed on equality basis. This is not only demotivating but also frustrating for many soldiers. It has two serious impacts on the employees. One, it effect the efficiency of the soldiers which can be a serious issue in an…...

As a result the "Driving for Higher Performance" campaign (note the play on words of the company's general mission to produce better and better cars every year) Toyota is "now able to zero in on where there are major fluctuations" that deviate from its overall mission of excellence and "drill down on variances that could impact the forecast for the balance of the year," according to Doi. (Ozzimo, 2006) the use of profit center segmentation enabled Toyota to quickly reallocate its resources to meet the heightened demand in the U.S. For new models like the Prius hybrid and the Scion (Ozzimo, 2006).
The approach of CFO Doi is embedded with the approach of the entire company's focus on continual improvement. But al-Mart has been more successful where Kmart has failed. The author of the study explains this difference with the treatment, importance and role played and offered to the human resource. "Kmart and al-Mart are virtually identical, right? Yet most people prefer to shop at al-Mart. Kmart recently declared bankruptcy. Could the reason for this be as fundamental as leadership style and the resultant employee attitude? I believe so. Kmart has been said to use the "control" method of leadership, while al-Mart has used an "empowerment" model. Thus, there is a subtle, yet big, difference between the customer relationship with employees of each corporation" (ork Motivation Incentives, 2004-2005).
Otherwise put, al-Mart allows its staff members to make their statement and to voice their opinions. And this often proved beneficial for the organizational well-being. For instance, Tim Gebauer was once talking to an employee who suggested putting an extra product line…...

Systemic Redesign
Working with chocolate likely necessitates significant expenditures for equipment because chocolate is usually transported and stored in liquid form and because it is milk-based meaning that it requires refrigeration equipment. It is also probable that specialized equipment is required for the process of injecting liquid liquor into the chocolate candies. In both respects, workers will have to be retrained to accomplish the tasks involved in those processes.
Preparing for Redesign and Maximizing Market Share
My first suggestion might be to initiate an intensive advertising campaign to introduce chocolate lollipops. The inventory probably already features chocolate flavored lollipops; I would introduce a chocolate lollipop and shift advertising and marketing efforts to correspond to that new product rollout for obvious strategic reasons. Similarly, I might also introduce a liquor-filled chocolate lollipop.
Operationally, I would assign the staff scheduled for retention after the full implementation of the eventual change because that would enable those employees…...

1. Describe one tactical and one strategic intervention that you believe to be critical to managing the implementation of organizational or systemic change. Why are these interventions important to consider when implementing change?
Strategic Intervention
Leadership application: Pucko and Cater (2010) claim that although a well-designed strategy, human resources, and an effective and sound competency pool, are highly vital to the success of a strategy, ineffective leadership forms a key barrier to effective implementation. The executive board and Chief Executive should concentrate on the numerous organizational interfaces. One of the main challenges to effective execution of organizational strategy is guaranteeing workforce buy-in as well as channelling their business understanding and capabilities towards corporate change. Thus, effective leadership is the most important factor of all. A second viewpoint claims that ineffective leadership gives rise to contradictory priorities which will, in turn, give rise to weak coordination, as the workforce suspects that the management…...
However, the scores in the test reveal that my opinion and self-assessment might not be objective.
The organizational business test also revealed some interesting facts. The results in the survey are the following: autocratic -- 18, custodial -- 19, supportive -- 20, and collegial -- 18. The scores in these categories are quite close, making it difficult to determine what the regular behavior of the company is. However, given the fact that the supportive behavior has the highest scores, it means that the company encourages this type of behavior. Based on my observations at the workplace, this is mostly true. The environment within the company is supportive of employees' development and encourages collegial relationships. However, there are situations that require autocratic and custodial management.
It is obvious that my leadership style that seems to not be clearly perceived needs improvement. Therefore, I intend to continue with professional assessment and with training…...

A business model is a fundamental element of any organization's strategy. It outlines how a company creates, delivers, and captures value in the market. As such, understanding and effectively designing a business model is crucial for a company's success. In recent years, there has been a growing body of literature that examines different aspects of business models, including their components, types, and implications for firm performance.
One of the seminal works in the field of business model research is Alexander Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur's book "Business Model Generation," which introduced the Business Model Canvas tool. This tool provides a framework for....
Developing an effective organizational strategy is essential for the success and growth of any business. In order to create a strategy that will guide an organization towards its goals, there are several key elements that must be considered. This literature review will explore these key elements and their significance in developing an effective organizational strategy.
One of the most crucial elements in developing an organizational strategy is setting clear and achievable objectives. According to Thompson and Martin (2005), objectives provide a sense of direction and purpose for the organization, guiding decision-making and actions towards a common goal. Without clear objectives,....
