About This Topic

Profitability is one of the central concepts in business education, measuring a firm's ability to generate earnings relative to its costs, revenues, and invested capital. It appears across disciplines including accounting, finance, marketing, operations management, and strategic management. Students write about profitability because it sits at the intersection of nearly every business decision — from how a company prices its products to how it structures its supply chain — making it a productive lens for understanding organizational performance as a whole.

The papers archived on this topic approach profitability from several directions. Some focus on operational efficiency, examining how manufacturing versus service operations management affects a firm's bottom line. Others take a marketing perspective, analyzing how customer targeting and product positioning drive revenue growth, including case-specific analyses such as those centered on Hong Kong Disneyland and Pine Valley Furniture Company. Additional papers address financial fundamentals, leasing decisions, and business research proposals, reflecting how profitability analysis spans both qualitative strategy and quantitative evaluation. Supply chain management and internal controls, including ERP systems, also appear as frameworks through which profitability is examined.

A strong essay on profitability needs a clearly scoped thesis that connects a specific business decision or process to measurable financial outcomes rather than treating profitability as a vague goal. Evidence drawn from financial statements, operational data, or well-grounded case analysis carries the most weight. A common pitfall is conflating revenue growth with profitability — a company can increase sales while margins shrink, so strong essays are careful to distinguish between the two and account for costs throughout the argument.

Democracy and Islam in Malaysia
In this short essay, the author will examine the issue of democracy and Islam in Malaysia with a topical literature review. To wit, we will consider whether or not democracy and Islam are compatible in a modern society. This will be considered in various different areas. Unfortunately, the results are mixed at best, with Islam heavily overshadowing the Malaysian social fabric, although the tension between Malays and non-Malays is a second important factor. Analysis Western democracy and banking have made their way into Malaysia. In an article by Samal Abdus, his article examines the performance of Bahrain's interest-free Islamic banks and also the interest-based conventional commercial banks in the post war period after the first Gulf War. This with respect to profitability, liquidity risk and credit risks. He used nine financial ratios in the measurement these performances. His paper concludes that there is not a major difference in the performance between Islamic and conventional banks in the areas of profitability and liquidity. However, his study finds that there were significant difference in credit performance (Samad 2004, 1-2).

Motivational Healthcare Techniques Healthcare Motivational Essay Most
Abstract Most companies would concur that human resources are one of the most—if not the most—valuable assets a company has. And what is the healthcare industry besides a (usually) for-profit company? Oftentimes, however, there is an incongruent dichotomy between healthcare management and its employees, or more properly called its caregivers. Hiring, training, and employment policies may sometimes conflict greatly with the company's (hospital's) bottom line, which is profitability, over the ability to maintain high or even average motivation amongst its workers. This paper seeks to explore at least three ways a rapprochement might be met between upper management successfully handling the bottom line—profit—and exhorting its agents (employees, or caregivers) to keep their motivation high enough to reach maximum levels for both parties. Keywords: Healthcare, motivation, motivational techniques, caregivers, hospital management, motivational methods, motivational analyses, motivational implementation, autonomy, reward, hospital, patient, cognitive development, self-actualization.
