As in most of the nation, the obesity epidemic threatens public health in Los Angeles County. Obesity increased from 13.6% to 22.2% in adults between 1997 and 2007. Most of the research shows there are marked disparities in the county based on income, education, and lifestyle choices. There are, however, similar risk factors that everyone in the county shares. This is actually crucial to an overall analysis of county problems. In 2006, the cost of obesity just for LA County was over $6 billion in health care and loss of productivity.

Social Implications of the Industrial Revolution

Abstract McDonald's the largest fast-food chain across the globe. This is through spanning of approximately 30,000 restaurants across the globe with the aim of maximizing its revenues and profits at the end of the financial year. McDonald's Organization aims at being the customers' favourite place and way to eat and drink as its mission to meet the needs and preferences of its consumers. The pattern of internationalisation of McDonald's Company proves to be similar in the countries of operation because of the tendency of the organization to establish contracts of areas of development with local businesspersons.

In this paper, I have discussed some social problems in the American society including crime reporting, prostitution and alcohol consumption. I have discussed various reasons of all the mentioned problems and why they have become a part of the American life. I have also given my opinion at different places and demonstrated the understanding of the topics.

Within the modern American justice system, there are two legal ways a felon may return to society: parole/early release or completion of sentencing. Parole is a controversial topic, and 16 states have abolished it entirely, with 4 states negating parole for certain offenses. According to the U.S. Justice Department, about 45% of parolees complete their sentence without incident, 38% are returned to prison, and 11% escape or leave the country.
