The world today is facing a major problem of global warming. There is also a stunning rise of the people classified as the middle class, and consequently, there is an increased population growth. All these are causing an alarm in the world as this is slowly making the world unstable. Every person should take it upon themselves to correct this trend. This includes individuals and also corporate bodies. This can be corrected by protecting the planet through moral leadership, which will promote the preservation of the environment. This is not an easy task but America could be in the forefront of saving the environment. As Friedman states, "Already the earth is being affected in ways that threaten to make it dangerously unstable. Companies need to lead in the quest for preservation of the environment. These efforts are rewarding not both for the company and the country at large.
Every company that produces any kind of emissions or waste is liable to preserving the environment. Avoiding accountability of what one produces or consumes is no longer an alternative. This is because the effects of our actions are being felt. There are no green fields left, the oceans have been polluted, and there are no more forests as the forests have been cut down. This calls for everyone to get involved in preserving the environment which is also known as going green. Going green is not seen as a fad anymore but as a strategy to win. It is no longer, as it was seen before, an action that is done hoping that it will pay off eventually. It is now an obligation for each one of us to make it their initiative to live, build, manufacture, design and work green. Green is the smartest and most efficient…
