¶ … economic and cultural convergence brought on by globalization and its subsequent mixing of previously unknown combinations of workers. What is excellent about the Tyson case is that it illustrates in a macro and microeconomic way there is an amazing convergence upon workers as well upon the business systems from radically different countries and their importation and reconstitution in a U.S. type of corporate culture.

What are business systems? As usually defined, it is "A methodical procedure or process that is used as a delivery mechanism for providing specific goods or services to customers (Business Dictionary 2011)." In terms of theoretical sociological approach, it is hard to see Steve Striffler as anything but an anti-positivist.

In his approach, a precise analysis of "Mexican" as an ideal type, even though Laotians and Marshallese were included in the group, even Striffler was "almost Mexican" due to his presence amongst the workers not just on the floor of the processing plant, but sharing their experiences and stories in the break room where the white managers never bother to go (Striffler 2006, 108).

This approach of the ideal type would utilize Max Weber's theoretical approach of the ideal type, which would explain how powerful the "Mexican" sociological influence was upon the non-management plant workers, even though other immigrant groups were not Mexican. This amorphous categorization certainly would certainly characterize the non-white plant workers who were part of a non-concrete reality that existed only because of the plant (Bolender Initiatives 2011).

An analysis tragedy of the downfall of the traditional harinero process technique because of Michael's managerial style where the workers loose control of process of the means of production (Striffler 2006, 102). The extent of the tragedy would become crystal-clear when one considers the concept of Marxist alienation (Marxists.org 2011). We will see later how this spills over into class analysis.

The workers come together as a proletarian group, their economic interests and sufferings forging them into one group distinct from the bourgeois management class which grows out of their alienation from their labor and the loss of the means of production. ("Bolender Initiatives"). Social stratification emerges from class analysis because social stratification can not take place without the existence of classes. In it, the classification of persons into groups or a group (such as the concept of Mexican in the chicken processing plant) is based on shared socio-economic conditions.

The inequalities, economic, social, political and ideological dimensions bring all of this together (Shills 1982, 277). Secularization needs to be considered as well where a secular organization remakes and unifies previously religiously diverse groups (Shils 1982, 278). The non-religious environment of Tyson Foods has molded a cohesive group of different people in the plant who now are collectively know as "Mexicans" despite their national and even racial background (Striffler 2006, 103). Deviance also needs to be considered (Shils 1982, 266).

Interestingly, the violation of the traditional harinero regime represents a deviance from the top down from the traditional Tyson Foods plant work culture (Striffler 2006, 102). To recap, in this short essay, this author has analyzed a case study of economic and cultural convergence brought on by globalization and the subsequent mixing of previously unknown combinations of workers. What is excellent about the Tyson case is that it illustrates in a.
