"Esri Launches Story Map Journal App Contest For Students"The use of geographic information systems (GIS) when it comes to plotting or tracking anything that involves disparate locations is nothing new. However, the depth and breadth that newer GIS projects are taking in comparison to older ones just shows how far the field has come and how far it could truly go. In keeping with the renewed and revised commitment to strengthen the STEM subjects, those being science, technology, engineering and mathematics, is rendering in all relevant fields and at level of education. As one might imagine, this easily and obviously includes the field of GIS. This article review looks at a summary of a program where students were asked to submit a Story Map Journal for a contest. How the field of GIS was used in this situation and how learning and school was an integral part of the same will be the main subject of this report. While GIS is not an obvious tool for many situations, its uses can lead to great discoveries and insight.
Analysis
As noted in the introduction, GIS in the case of the article under review for this brief...
Longitudinal evaluation of a GIS laboratory in a transportation engineering course," Bham, Cernusca, Luna and Manepalli look at the effectiveness of a geographic information system-based tutorial in the teaching of transportation engineering. The authors studied students who were given this form of tutorial in conjunction with other learning techniques. They found that the students who received this tutorial performed better than those who did not. The paper serves to
TITLE:“Reflections and speculations on the progress in Geographic Information Systems (GIS): a geographic perspective” by Guonian Lü, Michael Batty, Josef Strobl, Hui Lin, A-Xing Zhu & Min Chen (2019)SUMMARY:In this study, Lu et al. provide a review of current geographic information systems and how these are typically used by practitioners in various scientific disciplines. The authors also provide a discussion concerning the numerous innovative uses that have been developed in

It was then important to see the degree at which technology and training played a role in combating each fire. 1.2.4.Rationale of the Study What is that can be gained from this study? The reasoning behind such a study is born out of a need to provide better training for fire fighters so that fire management systems will improve and reduce the amount of loss due to the fire. By studying
The infant mortality rate is of 8.97 deaths per 1,000 live births. This rate places Kuwait on the 160th position on the chart of the CIA. The adult prevalence rate of HIV / AIDS is of 0.1 per cent. In terms of economy, Kuwait is a relatively open, small and wealthy economy. It relies extensively on oil exports -- petroleum exports for instance account for 95 per cent of the
While this presents enterprises with unequalled levels of potential productivity gains, it also presents security and privacy challenges as well. In the context of cyber foraging, the issues of ethicacy and opt-in meet head-on, as the use of servers to cache locations and define locational preferences and habits of consumers. For these privacy reasons and the untested nature of location-aware advertising services, it is anticipated that GPS-enabled networks such
