Implementation, Evaluation and Control Wellness and Fitness Company will be established as a non-profit organization in the city of Portland, which has a relatively high population of adolescents with obesity. The overall objective/goal of this non-profit organization is to reach out to the most possible low income family to participate in the program’s activity since the value of this initiative is to reduce obesity among adolescents in that category of people. As a non-profit organization, Wellness and Fitness Company will be established in partnership with Boise Eliot Elementary School, which has a large percentage of African American student population. The new non-profit organization seeks to implement a nutrition and fitness program into the daily routine for students and their parents to embark on in order to reduce adolescent obesity in the region. This paper discusses the implementation plan as well as evaluation and control for this new non-profit organization.

Implementation Plan

The success of the new non-profit organization in achieving its objectives of reducing obesity among adolescents in the city of Portland requires an effective implementation plan. Bangen (2018) states that even though establishing partnerships between for-profit and non-profits can be time consuming and stressful, it is very beneficial for the business/organization and the community. Since this non-profit organization will primarily focus on initiating a nutrition and fitness program at the school as well as depend on donations from the various community partners, creating partnerships with the school and these companies is the first step toward the implementation process.
This process will entail providing the school and these companies with a well-documented overview of the non-profit organization, its mission, and how their involvement would be beneficial for the business and the community. The documentation will explain how fruitful partnerships will be created between the non-profit and the school and companies towards benefiting all parties including the community. The next step in the implementation process will entail creating a well-planned nutrition and fitness program that will be implemented in the school. The program will be designed in a manner that does not interfere with the daily operation of the school and students’ learning.
