Just a few examples of groups that commonly are involved in the leadership and ownership of healthcare organizations include the Jewish people and Catholics. Concurrent to that is the concept of intentionally using faith as a vehicle to help and soothe patients in their time of facing death or extreme pain. One potential intersection of issues and questions that exist is what happens when a patient (or their family) is of one faith and the hospital or personnel on the front lines of the healthcare involved are of another faith. The correct answer, of course, is to either leave religion alone entirely or defer to the preferences and desires of the patient. This can open doors in that a patient will feel at ease when their personal religious perspective respected. However, it can present a barrier to a healthcare worker if they are of a different mindset and cannot (or will not) accept the presence of other faiths or beliefs in their workspace.
