¶ … desire within the organization for change, in particular with regards to leadership. Ultimately, the research shows that most respondents have an idea of what makes a good leader, but feel that the people currently in leadership positions in this organization lack those traits. There is some evidence of a mandate for change among employees of this organization.
For question 1, respondents could answer more than once, and many did. the results were as follows:
Honesty
Forward looking
Competent
Inspiring
Knowledgeable
Friendly
Listener
Supportive
Energetic
Moral
This is best viewed on a histogram:
There are no measures of central tendency for this question.
Question 2. The results were as follows, and are best represented in a pie chart:
Yes
Maybe
No
Question 3.For this question, n=8 because the two who felt that their bosses exemplified most positive characteristics did not answer. The results were as follows, and are best represented on a pie chart:
Very open to change
4
Neutral to change
3
Not in favor of change
1
Question 4 is an open-ended question, with ten different responses.
Question 5 The results are as follows, and are best represented in a pie chart:
Very beneficial
3
Somewhat beneficial
5
Very Strongly agree
2
Slightly agree
3
Neutral
3
Disagree

Question 7 was an open-ended question
Question 8. The results are as follows and are best represented as a pie chart. However, had this question been framed as "How many years of service do you have?," then measures of central tendency could also be calculated. But asked as it was, that is not possible:
1-5 years
2
5-10 years
1
10-20 years
6
over 20 years

Question 9. The results are as follows, and are best represented as a pie chart:
Regular employee
8
Supervisor
1
Manager
1
Other
0
This data is mainly analyzed using frequency tables and pie charts. The one exception is the first question, where multiple answers were allowed. Because of that, the pie chart is not appropriate, but a histogram shows the frequency of each response. As noted, rewording Question 8 would allow for measures of central tendency to be calculated, but with the wording on this survey, that was not possible for any of the questions. Percentages are not really necessary here, because n=10, but a full survey with a larger sample size, percentages would come in…
