While the verdict is far from definitive, there is a lot that can and should be seen about the Book of Tobit, what it meant then and what it means in a modern context.The Book of Tobit is held as an important work in certain sects of the Christian church, with the Catholics being the major one. The book, as the title infers, is about a man named Tobit. He was an Israeli that lived about seven centuries before the time of Christ. One of the main things he made it a point to do was offer proper burial and final resting for fellow Israelites that had fallen.
